Two American Idol winners released albums last week. Caleb’s results are pretty much in (10,315 estimated by HDD and a top 30 finish) while we will likely have to derive Kris’s numbers as he is outside of the top 50. “Guardians of the Galaxy” tops the album chart again with 95K in sales (and a tiny 8% drop in its third week). Frozen bounces back with a 43% increase (they had sing-alongs on the Family channel – was that what helped?). Meghan Trainor’s “All About the Bass” will likely be the top digitial seller this week while Sam Smith may finally push “Rude” off the top of the Hot 100 chart.
