America’s Got Talent 2025: 10 year old Bay Melnick wows the judges with his massive guitar skills
Ten year old guitar prodigy, Bay Melnick Virgolino admitted that his instrument is nearly as big as he is. It’s another precocious kid contestant about to take the America’s Got Talent stage and perform for the judges.
The New York City native explained that he became obsessed with Slash (Guns N Roses) at five years old. He asked his mom for lessons. His parents, Bay’s biggest supporters, waited in the wings. The young contestant admitted that he was VERY nervous.
Bay played AND sang “Are You Gonna Go My Way” by Lenny Kravitz. His vocals are childlike, but his guitar playing is not. He shredded an impressive solo in the middle of the rock performance. How does his little fingers manage that fretboard?
“You are a mini tiny little superstar”
Afterward, the judges were on their feet. “I think Lenny Kravitz would be so proud of you,” said Mel B. “There’s no question. I don’t have to say anything, this audience just said it.” said Howie Mandel, adding that Bay is amazing, memorable and like a “rock star.” Sofia Vergara gushed that he’s “one of the coolest kid” she has ever met. She added, “You are a mini tiny little superstar.”
Simon Cowell shared that his son Eric plays drums. “Gosh, that must be the best feeling in the world for you and your mum and dad right now.” He added, “You’re so good.” Bay admitted that he’s having the best time he’s ever had playing on the AGT stage. “If you’re having fun, we’re having fun,” Simon concluded.
All four judges said yes as the crowd goes crazy. America’s Got Talent auditions 6 airs on NBC Tuesday July 8 at 8 pm ET/PT, streaming on Peacock next day.
