American Idol contestant forced from home by South Portland fire – A Sunday morning kitchen fire has left six people homeless in South Portland, including Conor Tubbs, who competed in this year’s American Idol as Cherry Lemonade. Around 10 a.m. Sunday, firefighters went to Ocean Street for a fire on the second floor of an apartment building. The fire was extinguished quickly but caused enough damage to make the apartment uninhabitable for the six people living there. – Read more at Bangor Daily News
