Jordin Sparks may have won American Idol two years ago, but she is still operating as if her life changed last night. ‘It happened so fast! I went from being a high school student to being one of the most recognizable faces in America, ‘ she says. ‘The next day, I was doing interviews, going on a tour, doing photo shoots and recording an album. I’ve [been] going ever since.’

Sparks, 19, has been working so hard’”as evidenced by her platinum-plus self-titled debut album and Grammy nod for song ‘No Air’ (with Chris Brown)’”but, she has yet to experience the one thing most teenage girls long for: a boyfriend. ‘This year, I finally made the time to ease my way into dating, but I never really dated before, ‘ she admits. ‘I was always so focused on music and being one of the boys. It’s new for me. It’s different and strange and weird all at the same time.’

Bucky Covington’s Fifth Time’s the Charm

Bucky Covington is such a small-town boy at heart that he moved five times around Nashville before finally finding his perfect home — in the country, of course! Bucky tells The Boot that he loved growing up in a tiny town, and while many of his friends couldn’t wait to leave, he really couldn’t picture living anywhere else.

“I grew up near Rockingham, North Carolina, ” explains the singer. “A lot of people couldn’t wait to get out of there, but I was totally opposite. People say there’s nothing to do there, but to me, all you need is a twelve-pack and a campfire! I always had a ball. I was a very outdoors person … I grew up on dirt bikes and four wheelers and boats and jeeps and that’s just what I do now.”

Taylor Lautner Going On A Vision Quest?

This new version is beg spearheaded by producers Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen, who have been part of team Twilight since the first movie and who are also developing action thriller Cancun as another possible Lautner vehicle.

Perhaps they could also find a place for his current squeeze, singer Taylor Hicks – after all, the 1985 film featured a song from, and an early cameo by, Madonna, as ‘Crazy For You’ became the theme tune…
