So You Think You Can Dance: The return of Mary Murphy?

I just read a review of Burn the Floor and Mary Murphy’s part in it on a blog called Mamarazzi Knows Best. But what caught my attention wasn’t the complimentary words about the ballroom dance production (which really is terrific) and Mary’s appearance, it was a nugget from the post-show Q&A in San Diego. Marymurphy

Blogger Suzette Valle wrote, “In case you were wondering if the sassy dance judge will be back on the hit television show SYTYCD, she revealed she is currently in negotiations to come back full-time.”

This is good news for Mary fans, me included.

George Strait, Reba McEntire show why they are country royalty

Once again, Consol Energy hosted music royalty.

The show featured two breathtaking duets, the first with Ms. Womack on “Does He Love You, ” the woman-confronts-the-other-woman tune that was acted out so well it looked like a catfight was about to happen. Kelly Clarkson was a surprise walk-on for “Because of You, ” another showstopper that drew an ovation. Ms. McEntire closed out her set by arriving in a model taxicab in a shimmering red dress to perform her signature “Fancy.”

Mattel CEO Bob Eckert says new Monster High products are off to a strong start

The Monster High hardcover tween chapter book written by New York Times bestselling (author) Lisi Harrison is now number five on the New York times children’s bestseller list. And that’s only after one month of being on the shelves. And on Halloween, Nickelodeon will be airing a special 22-minute episode of Monster High, featuring the music of American Idol contestant Allison Iraheta.

IT’S WAR: Fox Goes Black On Cablevision

Another week, so another network is getting dropped in a nasty carriage dispute. But this one also affects the baseball playoffs. News Corp is already grappling with the loss of carriage of FX, National Geographic Channel, and 19 regional sports network on Dish starting two weeks ago. Now the company’s broadcast network Fox is off Cablevision after the two sides couldn’t reach an agreement on a new deal. Cablevision at midnight ET stopped carrying the local Fox stations Fox 5 and My9 as well as Nat Geo Wild and Fox Business Network. That also puts in jeopardy the upcoming baseball playoff games and the World Series on Fox for 3 million Cablevision customers in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut.
