Kellie Pickler Sets Air Dates For 90210 And The Ellen DeGeneres Show

KELLIE PICKLER will make her acting debut on the CW-TV’s “90210” on MONDAY, OCTOBER 18th. Before the episode airs, PICKLER will stop by the ELLEN DeGENERES show to premiere clips from the episode and perform her single “Tough” on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 4th.

PICKLER said, “You see her on TV and she’s so funny and warm and kind-hearted. But when the camera’s go off, she’s still that same person. It’s always fun to be on ELLEN and have some laughs, sing my songs and dance.”

‘American Idol’ coming to Aspen

A round of auditions for the popular Fox TV talent show “American Idol” will take place in Aspen next month, a representative for the show confirmed Tuesday.

“We will be coming to Aspen to film, ” the representative said, declining to reveal any other details.

A three-person film crew for the show has been issued a city film permit for two days of shooting in Aspen, on Oct. 5-6. The crew intends to shoot supplemental footage for the show, called B-roll, at sites around town, said City Clerk Kathryn Koch.

Danny Gokey’s Sophia’s Heart Foundation opens office at Grand Avenue Mall

Downtown Milwaukee’s Shops of Grand Avenue has been the subject of several stories detailing businesses on their way out of the downtown area. In 2011, the mall has been welcoming new tenants including one with a connection to Milwaukee area American Idol star Danny Gokey.

Sony head Sir Howard Stringer brought the house down as he was honored by the American Theatre Wing at its gala on Monday night. After performances by James Naughton, Kelli O’Hara, Jennifer Hudson and Elaine Paige, Sir Howard picked up his award from Angela Lansbury.

Everyone’s a Critic: Juggling judges

Last week saw the highly anticipated debut of “X Factor, ” the latest entry into the singing competition genre.

The two-hour premiere gave us talent, drama, tears… and five judges?!?

Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and L.A. Reid are filling three of the four judges’ chairs. The fourth seat was originally intended for U.K. singer Cheryl Cole. She was dropped during the show’s audition rounds and replaced by singer Nicole Scherzinger.

Julianne Hough and Ryan Seacrest Hit the LA Promise Gala (PHOTOS)

Footloose hottie Julianne Hough stood proudly by the side of her man Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday night, and even though all eyes were on her as they walked down the red carpet, the night was really about Mr. Seacrest.

The Idol host and budding entertainment mogul was honored by L.A’s Promise, an organization that aims to help support and fund the education, direction and health of one Los Angeles community. Seacrest even took time to let some of the kids involved in the program test out their journalism skills by doing an interview with him, as he tweeted: “Just got interviewed by these pretty ladies at @LAsPromise.. bright kids :)”

Jennifer Lopez ‘Rising Above’ Divorce, Randy Jackson Says

Jennifer Lopez is back to work on American Idol – and she’s not letting personal drama get in the way.

“We’ve been doing auditions and she’s rising above, ” Lopez’s fellow judge Randy Jackson, 55, told PEOPLE Saturday at Las Vegas’s iHeartRadio Music Festival, where both he and Lopez performed. “She’s strong, she’s a trooper, she’s a great girl. She’s amazing.”

‘Dancing with the Stars’ eliminated contestant: ‘I’m going back to horseback riding’

Pro Val Chmerkovskiy wasn’t too happy but Elisabetta Canalis tried to put on a positive front, even though she became the second eliminated contestant Tuesday on Dancing with the Stars. Her English is still a little broken — hey, the Italian beauty hasn’t been in the states that long since she split from George Clooney — but she still managed to convey regret about leaving.

“I’m sad of course because for me, it was a good experience, ” said Canalis. “I having fun. It was a good opportunity. I really cared about this competition, but it’s a competition so somebody has to go home and tonight we went home.”

“Listen, there’s an industrial strength bra in here. There’s a bra sewn into the dress. There is a pale covered lining, and I think when I did that back [bend] thing, that pushed it out, ” she tells us. “That is not a nipple. That’s going to be on my gravestone. There was no nipple. I certainly don’t want my children to learn to read and read on the Internet that mommy’s a tramp and mommy flashed America! That did not happen. I deny, deny, deny it. You can’t break me. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.”
