Idol Sales News – Week Ending 09/25/11

He’s done it! Last week, Tony was the oldest person to ever have a song on the Hot 100 and now he has his very first Number 1 Album. This album features a duet with Idol’s Carrie Underwood. The two of them sang “It Had To Be You” on last week’s season premiere of “Blue Bloods”. He opens with an impressive 179K which exceeds industry predictions from last week.

As people scrounge around the racks for the last few Season 10 EPs at their local Walmart, there aren’t enough copies of Lauren’s CD left to keep her in the top 200 and Scotty clings on with 187. We also get numbers from Mandisa and Daughtry who have people in their camp who are kind enough to share.
