Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul Haunted By Ghosts During X Factor Auditions

Intending to stay at The Stoneleigh Hotel & Spa during their time in town, the judges — including L.A. Reid — didn’t last long at the luxury digs.

“L.A. didn’t even know the story of the ghosts; he just couldn’t be inside the hotel, ” a source close to the trio tells Us Weekly. “He was first to check in and left before the others arrived, saying it had a ‘weird feeling about it.’ Everyone joked he was being a diva, but when they heard about the hotel really being haunted they just thought he was smart!”

So You Think You Can Dance: Inside The ‘Heated’ Elimination Deliberations

“Without question, we all felt she had the best solo tonight. What went against Miranda is that I don’t feel she dances with as much emotion, ” said judge Mary Murphy. “But then we had to go back and look, and I felt Ashley danced better in the duets all season.”

And Murphy was not alone in her adoration for Ashley.

“Ashley has a way about her and her face. I always feel like, for her, it is about the character, ” Chenoweth added. “She wasn’t [doing crazy tricks in her solo], but I’ve also been watching her week-to-week and I know what a great partner she is.”

‘SYTYCD’: Mary Murphy on the kissing mayhem

Well, Wednesday night’s show was like no other. Have we gone too far with sexually elicit numbers and themes? Even the judges went temporarily insane! This is my perspective on the kissing scene gone wild. ??I was mesmerized with Marko and Melanie; again, beautiful choreography told a story of love and in the middle of the number they had a passionate kiss. After I told them how wonderful they were, I genuinely wanted to know from Melanie how hard it was to kiss someone so passionately that you were not involved with. I wanted to know because I could not kiss my partner on Broadway because he was engaged and it just didn’t feel right.
