Mandisa Stayed Home from The Grammys – They Make her Uncomfortable – NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Christian singer Mandisa says she was at home watching Sunday’s Grammy Awards ceremony online when her song “Overcomer” was named the best contemporary Christian music song. Minutes later, her album of the same name won the Grammy for best contemporary Christian music album. Mandisa explained that she was at home alone “allowing the Lord to speak” to her and protect her from being either proud of winning or self-conscious about gaining back some of the weight she had lost. As a Christian, Mandisa said she also had found some parts of past Grammy Awards ceremonies she attended uncomfortable to watch. – Read more at Washington Post.com

Kelly Clarkson. Ruben Studdard. Kris Allen. Carrie Underwood. Spencer Lloyd? – Lloyd is no stranger to singing competitions. After having a brief stint on NBC’s The Voice last year, Lloyd decided to abandon the idea of competing again. Lloyd changed his mind, however, when he heard the American Idol tour bus was coming through Little Rock, stopping near the Clinton Library – only 15 minutes away from his house in Bryant, Ark. “A lot of people were saying, ‘Hey, Spencer, you should go audition for this.’ I was like, ‘I don’t know, I just got done with that other thing and I don’t think I really want to go into it.’ [Trying out] was just kind of off of a whim. I was like, ‘Oh, I guess I’ll go do it.’” – Read more at The Forum

Sara Bareilles Fires Manager Jordan Feldstein After Grammys Scuffle With Osbournes – Also counting Maroon 5 and Robin Thicke as clients, Feldstein, who is Jonah Hill’s brother, was caught in a heated, plate-throwing exchange with Sharon Osbourne at a pre-Grammy gala. Sara Bareilles has fired manager Jordan Feldstein, who also counts Maroon 5 and Robin Thicke as clients, sources confirm to The Hollywood Reporter. The news comes after a strange scuffle between Feldstein and Sharon Osbourne took place at Saturday night’s Clive Davis/Recording Academy-sponsored pre-Grammy gala at the Beverly Hilton hotel. According to E! Online, Feldstein was first spotted in the ballroom arguing with Kelly Osbourne, with her mother following up after her daughter stormed away from the music manager’s table. “Sharon walked up to him pointing her finger and screaming,” an eyewitness tells THR. With Bareilles seated nearby, Feldstein and The Talk host apparently got into a heated exchange that resulted in Osbourne tipping over a plate of food on his lap and throwing water at his head (see photo below). The fight apparently erupted over comments Feldstein made about Jack Osbourne and his wife. Says a source: “You don’t f— with the Osbournes.” – Read more at The Hollywood Reporter

Ed Sheeran And Tori Kelly Have A New Song All Ready For Us – If you haven’t listened to Tori Kelly’s music yet, I suggest (after you read this) to do so immediately. The talented curly-haired 21-year-old MTV Artist to Watch singer gained a following with her YouTube cover songs of everyone from Bruno Mars to Michael Jackson. However, it was when she released her Foreward EP in October that people really started taking notice, including one very important person: Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun. Kelly is now currently in the studio working on her debut effort, which she describes as a mix between “more hip-hop edgy Lauryn Hill type of vibe” and her acoustic guitar. Even though Kelly has no release date in mind for her debut effort or first single, fans should still be in the lookout for some new music. She recently finished working on a song with none other than Ed Sheeran. – Read more at MTV

Six months after his tragic death at age 31, the Glee actress is preparing to release her debut album, Louder, which is rich with reminders of the couple’s “insane love” for each other. In a new interview with her BFF Jonathan Groff for the March issue of Teen Vogue, Michele, 27, opens up about moving on from the loss of her costar and real-life boyfriend. “I somehow feel the insane love Cory and I had for each other morphed into this strength that I have right now,” the “Cannonball” singer explains. “There’s just something about knowing he’s watching everything I’m doing and feeling like I have to do everything now not just for me but for him. I also have a safety net below me — if I fall or if it’s too much, my friends and family will be there to catch me.” – Read more at US Magazine
