NBC’S ‘CHRISTMAS IN ROCKEFELLER CENTER’ SPECIAL RETURNS WEDNESDAY, DEC. 2 TO CELEBRATE AND REVEL IN THE FESTIVE HOLIDAY SEASON – NBC is ringing in the holiday season with its iconic “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” special on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 8-10 p.m. ET/PT. Viewers will be treated to festive performances by Kelly Clarkson, Goo Goo Dolls, Earth, Wind & Fire, Brett Eldredge, Jimmy Fallon, Tori Kelly, Leslie Odom Jr., Dolly Parton, Pentatonix, Dan + Shay, Gwen Stefani and Meghan Trainor. The evening includes a special holiday treat with Clarkson and Eldredge performing together, along with duets featuring Parton and Fallon, and Trainor and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame supergroup Earth, Wind & Fire. The cast from the Tony Award-winning hit “Ain’t Too Proud” will perform a musical number and the Radio City Rockettes will also make an appearance. Original hosts Derek and Julianne Hough return, kicking off the night with a glittering new holiday performance, while Trevor Jackson (Freeform’s “grown-ish”) hosts from Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. This Year’s Nashville Christmas Parade Goes Virtual, Adds Lauren Alaina, Jimmie Allen, Louis York, for King & Country And More – The 93rd annual Nashville Christmas Parade is going virtual this year due to the pandemic and will be aired on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 9 a.m. on News Channel 2. CeCe Winans, Danielle Bradbery, for KING & COUNTRY, Jimmie Allen, Louis York and The Shindellas, Oak Ridge Boys, Lauren Alaina, Melinda Doolittle, Mitchell Tenpenny, the Nashville Children’s Theatre, Sandi Patty, Shy Carter, Benita Washington and Runaway June, who will be introduced by Radio Disney Country special correspondent Lindsay Ell, will all perform during the one-hour virtual program. A year after ‘Voice’ success, Ricky Duran is ready to start with new single, ‘She Closed Her Eyes’ – “I’ve been working a lot on all this music behind the scenes since COVID started,” said Duran, in a phone call from Los Angeles, where he was working on an EP due out next year. “I’ve been trying to use this time to write as much as possible, record as much as possible.” All of that labor will soon bear fruit, beginning with his first single since his time on “The Voice,” “She Closed Her Eyes,” which will be released on Dec. 4 on all platforms. Tamara Jade grew up in Bowie. Now she’s a rising star on NBC’s ‘The Voice.’ -Bowie native Tamara Jade’s journey to compete on NBC’s “The Voice” all started as she attended Prince George’s County schools. At Ernest Just Middle School, her principal made her sing at all the school events, Jade said. And one day, the principal walked up to Jade in the hallway and said “Sign up for this” and walked away swiftly. Jade realized it was an application to Suitland High School’s visual and performing arts program, which she applied to and attended.
