Harry Styles in Talks to Play Prince Eric in Disney’s Live-Action ‘Little Mermaid’ -The singer-turned-actor is in early negotiations to play the iconic role of Prince Eric in the studio’s live-action remake of The Little Mermaid. Mermaid, being directed by Rob Marshall, is in the throes of casting, recently finding its Ariel with R&B singer Halle Bailey of Chloe x Halle fame. Melissa McCarthy, Jacob Tremblay and Awkwafina are also in talks to be part of Disney’s world. Eric is the human prince who catches Ariel’s eye. ‘David Foster: Off The Record’ Feature Documentary In Works With Music Icon Center Stage – David Foster, the 16-time Grammy Award-winning producer, songwriter and composer, is set to be the subject of a feature documentary, David Foster: Off the Record. Barry Avrich (The Last Mogul, Prosecuting Evil) is directing the pic, which is now in post production from Canada’s Bell Media Studios and Melbar Entertainment Group. The talking heads for the pic include Streisand, Lionel Ritchie, Bublé, Dion, Quincy Jones, Clive Davis, Groban, new wife Katharine McPhee, Kristen Chenoweth, Peter Cetera, Diane Warren, Carol Bayer Sager and daughters Erin and Sara Foster among others. – Read more at Deadline
Jennifer Hudson, David Otunga reach parenting agreement in Cook County case – Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson and her former fiance, David Otunga, reached an agreement Tuesday in Cook County court to end their year-and-a-half legal battle over child support and parenting time for their 9-year-old son. Hudson, a 37-year-old South Side native, and Otunga, a 39-year-old Elgin native, signed paperwork after seven hours of closed-door negotiations Tuesday at the downtown Daley Center.
