The American Idol season 17 alum Laci Kaye Booth invites season 18 singer Casey Bishop to open for her at Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles on April 28. “SO stoked for @caseybishop_ to be opening for me at @thehotelcafe ! Chayce Beckham sets May 5 date for ‘Doin it Right’ Live Stream Release Party

I look at the competition a little differently now because I know that no one is safe. This is a dream come true, so just to hear my name was freaking crazy. But I signed up for Idol for a reason, and I’m glad the judges believe in me and are giving me a second shot. But in a way, he believes it could be a sign of backlash to great progress being made. “If you think about it, that’s a sign that things are pushing forward,” he said. “When conservatives and homophobes are nervous, that means progress is moving forward.
