Ace Young to Lead Controversial Play About Sexual Abuse Within the Catholic Church – Vatican Falls, the controversial play written by Frank J. Avella that closely examines the Catholic sex abuse scandal, will make its world premiere this fall in a limited off-Broadway run. Performances will be held from October 27-November 20 at The Tank. Avella co-directs with Carlotta Brentan. Vatican Falls tells real survivor stories while exploring the fictional journey of one particular survivor. The play has had seven world premieres canceled in four different countries in the last decade due to its controversial content. The cast if this off-Broadway world premiere will star Broadway veteran Ace Young (Hair, American Idol), along with Carlotta Brentan, Tucker Aust, and Alice Barrett Mitchell. Rounding out the company are James Gracia, Danny Hilt, Kenon Veno, Edward L. Simon, Ryan Wright, and Jacopo Constantini. – Read more at TheaterMania.com

American Idol 2018 alum Gabby Barrett is working on her next album. She previewed a bit of an instruments bit on social media. The clip features fiddles and old-world sounding folks melodies. “Album #2 at work…” Gabby wrote in the caption. “What do you want to hear? Jordin Sparks Wants to Star in Smokey Joe’s Cafe

For Dancing with the Stars Elvis night, American Idol season 6 winner Jordin Sparks, who is competing on the show this season, danced a quickstep with her partner Brandon Armstrong, to “Hound Dog.” The singer posted a clip of herself at 12 singing “Hound Dog” in a Karaoke contest. She won the 1K prize. “Hound Dog” is a song in the jukebox musical, Smokey Joe’s Cafe and in the Instagram caption, Jordin wrote, ” One day, this is going to have a revival on Broadway and I WILL be on that stage as one of the women. Carrie Underwood and opener Jimmie Allen Prepare for “Denim and Rhinestones” tour

American Idol season 4 winner is preparing for her next tour, the “Denim and Rhinestones” tour, promoting the album of the same name. American Idol and Dancing with the Stars alum, Jimmie Allen is opening for her. Jimmie will also appear as Blake Shelton’s Battle Round adviser on The Voice later this fall!
