  2. Yes, it is! And when the momentum stops, and she starts feeling badly, she can take a couple of aspirins to ease the pain…

  3. Seems like Fantasia’s cd has legs! Yes!

I hope she can hang on to the top 10 this week. Looks like Gold is certainly possible.

And, just because it can’t be said enough… DAMN at Carrie.

Me too, and yes, gold is possible, and in this climate, for an R&B artist pretty damn good too.

  5. iTunes — All the Idols are going the wrong way on this chart right now (with exception of Carrie’s new single, that is)

    #41 – IIHY
    #84 – September
    #105 – Undo It
    #168 – WWFM
    #541 – Mama’s Song
    #542 – TT
    #562 – LLWD
    #641 – Bittersweet

  6. iTunes ALBUMS

Chris Sligh’s new album makes an appearance…

    #67 – Back to Me
    #73 – Play On
    #206/#775 – Leave This Town
#308 – The Anatomy of Broken (Chris Sligh)
    #370/#726 – FYE

  7. I’m happy to see September with 11 Top 40 adds so far. Not because I’m such a big Daughtry fan but because Top 40 really needs a wider variety of music. I’m getting tired of the current rut it’s in. (I also think September is a good song).

  8. iTunes — All the Idols are going the wrong way on this chart right now (with exception of Carrie’s new single, that is)

I think this was expected with all the performers at the VMAs getting boosts in sales and pushing everything else down. I haven’t checked it that is the case.

  9. Looks like Sara Bareilles album should open with about 80k. It’s really great. Reminds me of what Katelyn Epperly might have been going for on Idol with the piano, if she had made it further and kept her nerves in check.

    6 – Adam Lambert – If I Had You (227)
    1 – Carrie Underwood – Undo It (165)

    1 – Danny Gokey – I Will Not Say Goodbye (79)
    1 – Fantasia – Collard Greens & Cornbread (1)
    1 – Jordin Sparks – One Step at a Time (286)

  13. so Elevator didn’t get any adds today? I guess next week would give us a better idea, though, since I guess Jive just sent it to radio late last night?

I wish I knew why no AC stations are adding The Truth

  14. I’m wondering why The Truth is in such a freefall. HAC songs don’t usually fall by that large a number of spins in one week. He’s lost almost 300 in the last few days. Could Jive have told them to ease up because of a new single coming or is it just that bad for the song?

  15. Chris Daughtry and his producer are doing a Q&A at the Grammy Museum tonight. Some interesting things coming out of this, esp. Benson’s comments about sales vs. airplay…

    h2oconvo

#Howard Benson talking abt. butting heads w/ Chris during 2nd album. Benson & Sterling (manager) weren’t gung ho w/ September. Glad Chris won

ETA: And look what Howard Benson sales about sales vs. radio airplay

#Howard Benson: I don’t care about sales anymore. I look at the radio charts. Airplay directly corresponds to ticket & merch sales. 2 minutes ago via txt

I have yet to hear The Truth on the radio, it would be nice if they actually played it here, but Minnesota radio stations seem to be out of touch with society.. idek what the radio stations are trying to be here.. so random. Except Jack, who does not take request and is random on purpose.

  17. Could Jive have told them to ease up because of a new single coming

I really hope that this is the case.
