Vanessa Lengies Interview Spoilers: (TV Line, TV Guide THR)

• On Sam Larsen’s character, Joe Hart–he’s a Christian:  “He’s been home-schooled and is part of this new God group at the school,” Lengies says, which is in line with what The Glee Project producers had envisioned for the Catholic Larsen. (Joe, Mercedes, Sam and Quinn are members of the school’s “God Squad)
• On the Artie/Rory battle for her love: “The person who does the confetti locker for her definitely wins that round,” the actress shares. “But there are multiple rounds of winning Sugar’s heart in this episode, which is really hard to do when you don’t know what she likes or is thinking at any moment.”
• Sugar’s daddy opens his wallet to transform Breadstix into “The Sugar Shack” aka a venue for a couples-only Valentine’s bash. (After all, with her middle name to be revealed as Valentina, “This is her favorite day of the year,” says Lengies. As for the one restriction on RSVPs, Sugar believes “singles are depressing”). (NO SINGLES ALLOWED AT THE PARTY)
• “Sugar goes back and forth the entire episode, but at the end she definitely has a date for the Sugar Shack,” says Lengies.
• “But Sugar, in my mind, was definitely won over more by Artie.”

Glee Zone Spoilers

• This is the last thing I’ll say about couples: all the main couples from the glee club will have interaction. And they’re all together and happy at Sugar’s Shack on the Valentine’s Day.
• Blaine (Darren Criss) ONLY appears during “Love Shack” – the last number
• The Cherish/Cherish mashup is a singing telegram.  It’s sung during Sugar’s party. Will find out for who after “Stereo Heart” (Sung by the “God Squad”)
• Burt, Carole, Leroy and Hiram are in a scene together – Kurt is not at the dinner with Finn and Rachel
• “Stereo Heart” is Finn’s Valentines Day message to Rachel. That’s why she’s being sung to.
• Sugar says “Blaine is back from the dead” Blaine takes his eye patch off before he sings “Love Shack”
• Quinn/Joe/Sam/Mercedes serenade another individual
• Last year Kurt dedicated the song to all the singles out there. This year, Blaine dedicates the song to all the lovers in the room.

Hiram and Leroy tell Finchel to feel free to live a married life, in hopes reverse psychology will change their minds about marriage. Awesome lines: “I like Carole after 3 Chardonnays” and “Honesty, Respect, Dance – Those are the 3 Foundations of the Berry Family”

Rachel’s Dad’s visit her at school after they learn of the Finchel engagement from Burt and Carole. The sing “Going to the Chapel”.  Hiram chastises Leroy about singing to many runs, and then namecheckds Jennfer Hudson (See the video below)

Rory and Artie woo Sugar who can’t decide which to invite to he big Valentine’s Day party.  Artie romances her with a sexy rendition of “Let Me Love You” by Mario (See Video Below)

New McKinley student, Joe Hart (Samuel Larsen debut) sings “Stereo Hearts” in the McKinley courtyard with Sam and Mercedes. They serenade Rachel, who is enthralled. (See Video Bel0w)

Darren Criss WILL appear in “Heart”! – Contrary to previous reports,  Blaine and his BF Kurt will get to spend some quality V-Day time together! Darren’s screen time will be limited, due to his 3 week stint on Broadway, but he got back to Los Angeles in time to take part in the episode. (EOnline)

Episode Summary (Read carefully…there are some surprises!)

Love takes center stage at McKinley High as Valentine’s Day approaches. While Mr. Schuester’s weekly assignment to find and perform the world’s greatest love songs has some of the Gleeks celebrating romance, for others it serves as a disheartening reminder of what they don’t have. When Rachel’s two dads learn of their daughter’s engagement to Finn, the seemingly supportive couple offers to throw a celebratory family dinner… but do they have ulterior motives? Meanwhile, Artie and Rory compete for Sugar’s affections, Sam gives Mercedes an ultimatum that forces her to look deep in her heart for answers, a new nonconformist student joins the ranks at McKinley and helps spread a message of acceptance (Joe Hart played by Glee Project winner, Samuel Larsen), and Kurt is surprised by the discovery of a secret admirer. Max Adler is back as Karovsky in “Heart”! Could he be Kurt’s secret admirer? Does he wear a gorilla suit? Hmmm.

Via next week’s promo, Kurt receives balloons and a note from his secret admirer via a messenger in a gorilla suit “gorillagram”

Brittany and Santana make out: “”Brittany and Santana are going to make out…I’m told what happens with Brittany and Santana is “sweet and it’s romantic and it will satisfy fans.” (EOnline)

• Chris Colfer (Kurt) confirms that Darren Criss (Blaine) “is in the episode, it’s not in the way you might think. But there’s definitely a huge development for Kurt in that episode that involves someone in a gorilla costume.”  (Karovsky?)
• Sam Larsen’s character’s name is Joe Hart, not Apollo as reported in TV Guide (Keck later corrected on twitter)
• “There is a lot of love in the air during our Valentine’s Day episode,” echoes Naya Rivera (Santana). “There’s a big dance at the school and Brittany [Heather Morris] and I are definitely going to go together.”
• Heather Morris confirms, “They’ll be a lot of kissing for me and Santana. Naya and I had to do it over and over and over again.”
• “Here’s something to look for,” Heather  says. “Somebody from our set dressers stamped a candy heart with ‘Teen Lesbians.’ It’s really funny and I hope somebody spots it.”
• “Will and Emma [Jayma Mays] get in a fight,” reveals Matthew Morris, who doesn’t see a wedding in Will and Emma’s immediate future. “I don’t think there will be a ceremony just because a lot of attention needs to be paid to the kids who are exiting the show.”
• “There’s a lot of love and a little bit of heartbreak in the episode,” Chord tells me. “Mercedes still has her boyfriend, and I’m still trying to jump in on that and convince her to break up with him. There’s a lot of that throughout this episode. He acts sweet and sings to her to win her over.”
• Nat King Coles’s “L-O-V-E” will be performed by Mike (Harry Shum Jr.) and Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz).

Glee Project winner, Samuel Larsen’s character is introduced in this episode. But he won’t be playing Puck’s cousin, as previously reported. He plays Joe Hart, a non-conformist who helps spread a message of acceptance at McKinley.

We meet Rachel’s gay dads, played by Brian Stokes Mitchell and Jeff Goldbum for the first time! (TV Line).

New Character! “As is always the case with Glee, there’s a late addition to an episode… That person is Nick, who is an intimidating high school jock. Look out for him in the Valentine’s Day special… (Via Fyeahgleeclub)

Damian McGinty: Rory will find love “I want Rory to have a girlfriend and it could happen pretty soon, so watch out! I’ve seen the most recent script last week and yeah, there is [a new Rory romance]. I’m excited because the storyline is not as simple as Rory just getting a girl. He doesn’t quite have the girl but he kind of does and then there’s like a whole story behind it that is going to continue through the season where people might see a different side of Rory. I was interested in reading it! I only got half the script and when I saw the end of the first half my reaction was like, ‘Uh-oh, oh no!” So it’s a big shock, it’s a big shock.”  Damian will be singing one of his favorite songs.
