Actress Anne Heche and her pro partner Keo Motsepe were sent home from Dancing with the Stars last night (Oct 5), but not before a huge blunder during eliminations.
Host Tyra Banks mistakenly sent NFL pro Vernon Davis to the bottom two alongside Anne. Monica Aldama and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy were actually in the bottom two, and had to be brought back on to the stage. Meanwhile, Chrishell Stause and Gleb Savchenko were still hanging out on stage while Tyra proceeded with the elimination. Finally, she realized her mistake, but quickly blamed it on the “control room.” Later, Tyra said, “I was told there were technical difficulties.
Regardless of a control room mistake, a seasoned broadcaster *coughtombergeroncoughcough* would have been a couple of steps ahead of the mistake, been smoother handling it, and wouldn’t have blamed other people. JUST SAYING.
On GMA the next morning, Anne wondered if she actually went out on a high note, although she is happy she got to “dance the dances that I did.” A Paso Doble to Katy Perry’s Rise was the routine that ended her run. Check out our full recap with videos HERE.
“I’m very proud, very happy that Dancing With the Stars allowed me the opportunity to be able to share this story of my life,” Anne told GMA the next morning, as she spoke more about how dating Ellen Degeneres in the 90’s stopped her career cold for 10 years.
However, Page 6 reports that after she was eliminated Tuesday night, she stormed off the set, after refusing to do press. “Anne was not happy — she was furious. She drove off the lot and refused to do any press,” a source told Page Six.
