First, NBC pretty much divests themselves of anything and everything Donald Trump, after his xenophobic remarks about immigration offended many. They cancelled his Miss Universe pageant, and fired him from Celebrity Apprentice.
But yet, they can’t resist trading in on his controversy, for ratings, as the network has booked him to host Saturday Night Live on November 7.
Sia is the musical guest, returning for her second musical guest appearance. The singer’s forthcoming album This Is Acting features her new single “Alive.” Her last album, the gold certified “1000 Forms Of Fear” reached Number One on the charts and featured four-time Grammy nominated single “Chandelier.”
But seriously. This Trump thing. You know they’ll go easy on him, and he won’t even be funny. But the curiosity factor will mean the show will garner the best ratings they’ve had in a long while. Annoying.
Trump previously hosted SNL on April 3, 2004.
