Dancing with the Stars rumors are already swirling. First, sources said that producers reached out to former White House press secretary Sean “Spicey” Spicer. Now TMZ reports that controversial Bachelor contestant DeMario Jackson is negotiating with the show:
Turns out controversial “Bachelor In Paradise” star DeMario Jackson may not be done with reality TV — TMZ has learned producers are seriously considering him for a “Dancing With the Stars” slot.
Sources close to production tell us the show reached out to DeMario’s publicist weeks ago, which explains why he was already fully campaigning to be in the ballroom when we asked about it last week.
We’re told nothing’s signed … they’re still negotiating, but hard to imagine a scenario where DeMario doesn’t take this opportunity.
Last month, production on ABC’s Bachelor spinoff, Bachelor in Paradise came to a screeching halt after complaints were filed, asserting DeMario and Corinne Olympios may have engaged in sex that was not consensual.
Neither Olympios or Jackson returned to the BiP set when producers determined nothing untoward occurred and production resumed. However, Jackson will appear on the reunion special at the end of the season.
As far as “Spicey” is concerned, when asked about the DWTS rumors, he did not shut them down. “I’m not going to tell you that,” he told reporters regarding the possibility of taking a twirl on the dance floor. Hm.
