David Archuleta gets his groove on in the new “Movin'” music video. And indeed, move he does in the new clip, directed by Nick Sales.
The American Idol season 7 alum has danced in videos before. But he really struts his stuff here. He confidently grooves to a Latin beat, as a group of dancers, choreographed by Deavon Walden, perform alongside him. Hey, Dancing with the Stars producers, are you checking this out. (No, really. David on DWTS could be a thing!)
David drops the new video a week after releasing two versions of “Movin’,” including the upbeat version featured in the clip, and a more ballady version dubbed “After Hours.” In an email, David mentions alternate music videos are coming, so watch for that.
“Movin’ was a song I wanted to have fun with and challenge myself by literally movin’ with some choreography,” David explained the video’s concept. “I wanted just a touch of Latin feel even though it’s not necessarily Latin music.”
David’s positive vibe has arrived after he came out as LGBTQIA+ on Instagram, and then later sat down for an interview with ABC news, clips which aired on Good Morning America and Nightline.. Feeling free to be yourself is a beautiful thing.
