Dancing With the Stars – THE FINAL!

Tonight was the very first time I ever voted for a Dancing with the Stars contestant, an I voted for Kyle and Lacey.

The overscoring for Bristol tonight was just ridiculous.  Kyle works his ass off to improve his Foxtrot, and Bristol minces around the stage for a few minutes in a routine that was so obviously dumbed down?  And they receive the same score?  That’s totally insane.

I think there is a very real possibility that Bristol will win this thing, even with a season full of atrocious dancing. She HASN’T improved all season. There were a couple of times she didn’t look like complete crap on the dance floor. But improve steadily week by week? I don’t so.

Tonight’s final was pretty boring. A showdown between Brandy and Jennifer would have been hella more exciting than Jennifer dancing rings around everybody.  Still, what Kyle lacked in dance ability (he’s still waaayyy better than Bristol) he makes up for in entertainment value. That’s why I voted for him.  Hopefully, there are more viewers like me who picked the phone up tonight for the first time to vote for Anybody But Bristol.  I’m not keeping my hopes up.

Videos and Live blog after the JUMP…

Three couples vie for the Dancing With The Stars crappy mirror ball trophy! Jennifer and Derek, Kyle and Lacey and Bristol and Mark compete tonight.

Tonight: Redemption dances (a chance to do-over routines) and Freestyle

Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer – Foxtrot – “Feeling Good” – The pair did some horrible disco thing the last time. Now, they are trying to improve. Len drops by to help out. This time out they stick to a traditional routine. Kyle is a little heavy footed. But, Kyle has not made the finals because he’s a great dancer.  There’s a freestyle section that allows Kyle to show his personality.  The judges should like this. Len says, “You come out so much better than that first. Overall, you’ve gone from messy massey to marvelous.” Bruno says,   “Your technique has improved enormously. When you have to deliver you still give it.” Carrie Ann says, “I felt for the first half you were too focused on the footwork.” Carrie Ann – 9, Len – 9, Bruno – 9  – 271-800-868-3403 – VIDEO

About the voting? If you don’t vote don’t complain, says Tom.

The Skating With The Stars host is in the audience. That show looks like a HOT MESS.

Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas – Jive – Bristol will re-dance the Jive–the dance where she performed in a monkey outfit. That’s the week she should have been voted off. Bruno drops by to give some tips on the jive. Wow. This dance has about 3 steps in it. Could it be dumbed down any more? She still sucks. Mark definitely doing all the heavy lifting. Sarah is in the audience again. Bruno says, “I got something out of you, didn’t I? You revealed yourself, we enjoyed it.” Carrie Ann says, “You never cease to amaze me. You were brighter and more vibrant than ever.” Len says, “Last time you were a gorilla, now you are a thrilla. Vast improvement, well done.” Carrie Ann – 9, Len – 9, Bruno – 9 – 271-800-868-3407 – VIDEOScores

Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough – Paso Doble – “Carmen” -The paso was totally out of control the last time. Now Carrie Ann stops by to refine Jennifer’s technique. This is much better than last time. More controlled, Good technique. I bet they get another perfect score. Carrie Ann says, “This is the meaning of redemption! It’s all there!” Len says, “There was a lovely mix of expression and aggression. It was fantastic.” Len gives a standing o. Bruno says, “It was an evening in sultry Seville. I don’t want this night ever to end!” Carrie Ann – 10, Len – 10, Bruno – 10 – 301-800-868-3411 – VIDEO

Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer – Freestyle – “Tootsie Roll” – Kyle starts on top of the judges table, jumps off. Not a lot of great dancing going on there, but a lot of fun to watch. Len says, Len says, “This was great fun, great entertainment and I thoroughly enjoyed it.” Bruno says, “Truly explosive entertainment and charisma.” Carrie Ann says, “This old fly girl is proud of you. The fresh prince of dancing!” – Carrie Ann – 10, Len – 9, Bruno – 10 – 56 – VIDEO

Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas – Freestyle – Bristol has never heard of the Broadway musical “Chicago”. Why am I not surprised? Wrapping and unwrapping each other in ribbon is considered dancing? That was pretty lame. Bruno says, “I have to give you credit for ending so high. You did very well, but not quite at the level this song requires.” Carrie Ann says, “Did I just see Bristol dancing in a cage? I give you a lot of credit for that. It’s a very ambitious dance, but I’m very proud of you.” Len says, “I just looked at this as a performance. That was no disaster. That was fantastic.” Carrie Ann – 8, Len 9 Bruno – 8 – 25 – 52 – VIDEO

Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough – Freestyle – “Do You Love Me” She’s afraid to fill the dance with flips and tricks because of her neck. The song! From Dirty Dancing of course. LMAO. They jump on the judges table for a bit. Despite her reticence, the routine if full of lifts, flips and jumps. They are getting a standing o. Carrie Ann says, “It was amazing, perfect.” Len says, “You’ve been consistent, persistent, fantastic.” Bruno says, “You are great dancer, two dances at the opposite end of the spectrum, both of them brilliant.” Carrie Ann – 10, Len – 10, Bruno – 10 – 30 – 60 She says she didn’t want to dance “Time of My Life” because is was her dance with Patrick. – VIDEOScores

The dancers will dance twice more tomorrow night on the finale for judges scores.
