Dancing With the Stars: The All-Star Season PowerList

With the best of the best taking the Dancing stage last night, who emerges at the top of our Power List to win it all?

Note: A guy will win this season.  No brainer.  Pam, Bristol, and Kirstie have 0 chance, Kelly hasn’t danced half the dances the rest are just refreshing on, Melissa is no longer relevant, and Shawn is strong, but the personality of the guys will eclipse her. Sabrina is their only chance, and she also doesn’t have an established fan base.  I don’t see any joke males (Chaz Bono, Buzz Aldrin, Carson Kressley) on the list though, DWTS!

13. Pamela Anderson: Pamela can’t keep up with the all-stars.  She was good during her season, but when you put her up against the best I believe she’s going to sink real soon. Like, tonight.  She’s also not a fan favorite, and her sex appeal probably works against her, if you consider the DWTS voters.

12. Bristol Palin: Bristol also is not a true All-Star.  She was stiff and unsure on her season, and made it through based off of her mother’s controversy.  With Sarah Palin out of the spotlight (for the most part) at this point, I don’t anticipate Bristol going far.

11. Joey Fatone: Joey is good, but I think he’s going to be one of the first to fade into the blur of celebrities this season.  Drew Lachey will certainly nab voters away from Joey, and I think eventually Joey’s cheesiness will turn people off.

10. Kirstie Alley: Kirstie simply isn’t able to do the things that people like Shawn and Sabrina can do.  She’s aged awesomely and definitely can dance, but I think her body won’t be able to keep up with her.  That being said, her popularity might coast her further into the competition considering she competed recently and made headlines with all the weight she lost on DWTS the first time around.

9. Melissa Rycroft: Melissa actually is an awesome dancer. She’s got great musicality and flexibility, and if this list were based off of strictly dancing ability, she would be higher.  However, Melissa will also fade amongst the dominating guy personalities.  Plus when she competed the first time, she was riding a wave of sympathy from the  Bachelor.  To be honest, now that she’s competing again, I was surprised to hear that she was even still in the spotlight.  Hopefully her dancing will keep her in!

8. Helio Castroneves: Helio is also a really great dancer with an awesome personality.  I think the audience will fall in love with him all over again, but his dancing on Monday was a tad sloppy in places.  He’s got to clean it up, or the judges might be the ultimate cause of his downfall with such great competition.

7. Kelly Monaco: Kelly is at a major disadvantage because she’s never danced half the dances anyone else has!  Whereas Shawn Johnson might be refreshing herself on how to dance a jive, Kelly is sweating it out trying to learn the jive for the first time!  That being said, she handled her first ever cha cha remarkably last night, and I anticipate her drive to push her past the competition.  Kelly also easily has the best relationship with her partner, which is another plus.

6. Drew Lachey: Drew is going to forever be a favorite of DWTS.  He’s contagious and definitely a dynamic character who is so much fun to watch.  Again, like with Joey, the cheesiness might annoy people and ultimately get him kicked out.

5. Shawn Johnson: Shawn was my favorite dancer of all the seasons (yes, I can have an opinion!), so I was so excited to see her last night.  Though she didn’t compete in the Olympics over the summer, she is still one of the most famous gymnasts of all time.  She’s also as cute as a button, but Shawn comes across as very timid.  Until she opens up and really lets herself go on the dance floor, she can expect to rise near the top, but won’t reach it.

4. Apolo Anton Ohno: Everyone loves Apolo! I thought he’d be coming into this competition as a major frontrunner, but I was left totally flatter by his performance last night than I would have liked to been.  He will certainly draw in votes based off of his looks, and his dancing and personality are standouts among the all-stars.  I expect him to go far.

3. Gilles Marini: Gilles is smooth, and will definitely pull in votes based off of his looks, in addition to awesome dancing.  Gilles is one the best, and truly deserves to be an All-Star.  I think America’s going to fall in love with him again, and if he dances the way he did Monday all season, there’s no way he won’t be in the finale.  Although he may be the most talented of the guys, he is also the most reserved, which might hurt him, considering the DWTS viewers like controversy and excitement (Chloris, Carson, Bristol, Buzz).

2. Sabrina Bryan: The come-back girl!  Sabrina MUST NOT enforce the fact that she’s a front-runner.  If she does, I’m afraid America will assume she’s safe every week again and we’ll have yet another shock elimination around the Top 7 or so.  She’s certainly a firecracker and probably the best female dancer on the show of all time.  You can also see how much dancing and being on the show mean to her.  I really hope America rallies behind Sabrina, because quite frankly, she and Shawn are the girls’ only chances to win this thing.

1. Emmitt Smith: Emmitt is one of the strongest DWTS competitors ever.  Last night he topped the leaderboard and appealed to all of America with his charm and ability.  I did notice, however, Emmitt seems a little bit more rusty and unpolished than he was years ago when he competed.  This is either a result of nerves or the fact that Emmitt has gotten older and perhaps a little less able to dance as well as he used to.  Either way, Emmitt is just the DWTS dream guy.  I wouldn’t be surprised to see him and Gilles at the top.

Bottom 2 tonight: Pamela and Bristol, with Pamela going home.

Finale Prediction: Emmitt, Sabrina, Gilles
