More Dancing with the Stars season 25 cast rumors ahead.
According to People magazine, Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy will not be the only married couple in the ballroom. Nick Lachey and his wife Vanessa Lachey will be competing for the coveted Mirrorball Trophy when the competitive reality series returns to ABC on Monday September 18.
The parents of three kiddos are the second married couple to compete on the show. Alexa PenaVega came in sixth place and her husband Carlos PenaVega made it to the semi-finals on season 21 in 2015.
Nick was a member of the boy band 98 Degrees with his brother Drew and is no stranger to reality shows. During the summer of 2003, he starred with his then wife, Jessica Simpson, on the MTV series Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. He also hosted all three seasons of the NBC singing show, The Sing-Off.
Brother Drew Lachey won season 2 of Dancing with the Stars with pro partner, Cheryl Burke, who is reportedly set to return to the ballroom after a 2 season hiatus. I bet producers pair those two up.
Nick’s wife Vanessa is a former beauty queen (Miss Teen USA) and was a host on MTV’s Total Request Live (TRL) from 2003 until 2007 and became a New York City correspondent for Entertainment Tonight in 2005.
Add Nick and Vanessa to a growing list of rumored castmates that also includes the Property Brothers‘ Drew Scott and WWE wrestler Nikki Bella.
Twelve members of the pro cast were revealed on GMA earlier this week. The celebrity cast will be announced on the ABC morning show September 6.
