A source tells Entertainment Tonight that Cheryl Burke will return as a pro for season 25 of Dancing With the Stars. After ABC unveiled a list of pros competing on the upcoming season on Thursday’s GMA, the network teased the last pro would be revealed along with the celebrity cast on Wednesday September 6.
“She’s really excited to return to her roots,” the source told ET. “She doesn’t want to let anyone down, so you can expect she will be bringing her A-game every night!”
Cheryl’s last turn on the DWTS dancefloor was season 23 with swimmer Ryan Lochte. Since then, the dancer has been pursing other projects including taking over Dance Moms for the embattled Abby Lee Miller and performing on her Love on the Floor tour, which has been postponed until 2018.

ET’s source says a bigger payday and “more consistency” also played a factor in the dancer’s decision. Mark Ballas is another pro set to return to the DWTS spotlight after taking a hiatus.
