“Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X continues to top the Hot 100 for a fourth week. Taylor Swift’s “ME!” will not debut at the top of the Hot 100 because airplay alone got her on the Hot 100 this week (the airplay tracking week differs from the sales and streaming week). Next week. Lill Nas X will probably have to yield control of the top of the chart to her.

X-Factor’s Normani is in 7th with her Sam Smith collaboration with Sam Smith “Dancing with a Stranger”.

Over on the BB200, Billie Eilish’s “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” returns to the top.

Over to iTunes. Can we detect the popularity of an Idol by how well the song they cover sells? Possibly. It could just be a reflection of how popular the song actually is or how much we want to cleanse our minds of the awful cover. Queen is seeing a renaissance thanks to the QAL tour and the movie “Bohemian Rhapsody”, but Monday saw a rise in their sale of their songs. Was that due to Idol?

When I checked, leading the charge was “Bohemian Rhapsody” at 38th – maybe the kid is an internet sensation. “Fat Bottomed Girls” was 54th, “Somebody to Love” was 66th, “Love of My Life” 67th, “We Will Rock You” 72nd, “Under Pressure” 79th and “We are the Champions” was 98th. Neither “The Show Must Go On” or “Who Wants to Live Forever” were in the top 100, but P!nk’s “A Million Dreams” was 77th.
