2nd Update: Carrie Underwood WINS Female Vocalist of the Year. This is her 3rd straight win.

Update: George Strait, Troubadour, beat out Carrie Underwood, Carnival Ride for Album of the Year. Lady Antabellum beat out Kellie Pickler for New Artist of the Year.

ETA: CMT is live blogging the entire broadcast. Check it out HERE.

The CMA’s are happening NOW and I’m live blogging the Idol stuff. Carrie Underwood is co-hosting with Brad Paisley, and so far their banter is a bit, er, awkward.

Carrie Underwood is nominated for two awards: Album of the Year for Carnival Ride, and Female Vocalist of the Year. Kellie Pickler is up for New Artist of the Year. Both Kellie and Carrie will be performing.

Click the jump to watch videos and check out pictures on the red carpet. Carrie is purty as always, Kellie is very elegant tonight, and Diana DeGarmo is on the red carpet and looking very grown up. Julianne Hough and Cody Linley from Dancing With The Stars are also there.

OK, Brad Paisley is introducing Kellie Pickler, and his delivery is barely-reading-off-the-teleprompter stiff. She’s singing “Best Days of Your Life.” She’s rockin’ the leather hot pants. Alrighty. Eep. She’s also off-key. Kellie talks better than she sings.

Carrie is changing her outfits. A lot. Taylor Swift sang flat through her entire song. Kid Rock sucks. Doesn’t suck? Keith Urban. And he’s hot. Carrie performs “Just a Dream” and she’s pitch perfect.

Watch this space for updates.
