    Just met @JeffreyAdamGutt! #pleasantmorningsuprise pic.twitter.com/hg7O2YoKys

ETA: Jeff Gutt is also on the bill with Jena today.

  2. Typical tweets at every Queen concert:

I was surrounded by hard core Queen fans who were totally under Adam’s spell! They ALL LOVED every second! #tears

Two nights in a row Queen fans around me who knew nothing about Adam LOVED him well before the concert was over!!! Like REALLY LOVED HIM!!!!

  3. A few restricted view seats are still available for $203.80 each ($190.34 USD) at Brisbane Entertainment Centre for the QAL show Monday night. All the on stage VIP seats have apparently sold at $1,274.27 per ($1,190.10 USD).

  4. Similar experience in US. They expect to not like him but he’s impossible to resist.

  5. All the VIP seats at all levels have been sold out in Brisbane for a while. The capacity of that venue for an end-stage concert is 10,500 or so — and it will be another sellout. :)

The restricted view seats at the back of the floor are behind the FOH — the seats that can only see part of the Q screen — so stage view at all. And they have them priced at the highest base ticket price — usually these restricted view seats are discounted.

They probably have a few really good seats to release before the concert — in Sydney, there were few first row seats released day of show.

  6. I was seated next to some Queen fans in Chicago — the first concert on the tour — who thought Adam was the opening act. They actually did not believe me when I said he was their frontman for this tour — then I showed them my program. They were very, very skeptical and did not know much about Adam — but by the time they got to “Stone Cold Crazy” (the second song), they were convinced. When the concert was over, they were fans. :) I saw this same thing repeated over and over again.

  7. Tonight’s Queen + Adam Lambert setlist included “The Show Must Go On” which they have been performing only occasionally. The clips on Instagram are great. I have not seen a good, full video yet.

    >> My bet is that this will be performed in the last concert of this Asia-Pacific tour in New Zealand.

  8. The Wicked Game cover needs some explanation. The video I’m linking was really a 2nd start to the song. There was unsynchronized sway bots going on with the whole crowd that cracked Dave up so badly he had to start the song over. That’s why he’s making the comments during the beginning of this clip.

  9. “Kiss & Tell” is my leading candidate for the single – which means, of course, that it will be some other track. Heh. Still, not long to wait now to see what it will be – since David said “late September, early October” for the single.

  10. Not just the comments at the beginning of the clip – watching the stream, there was a guy Crowd Surfing, which also cracked him up for that song. But the crowd really seemed to enjoy the show, and the Tweets from New Ears have been very positive.

  11. Was’t he the (straight) guy who interviewed Adam twice and during the first one he said he had a man crush on Adam ? LOL…

  12. Kris performed his cover of Chandelier in Angola tonight & entended it with Stay With Me.

  13. I remember that interview Axxxel and forgot how funny it was. When Adam told him he was too masculine for him and Byron asked if that was a rejection, I could not stop laughing. Love the way Adam could just roll with whatever craziness was taking place back then.

  14. Tonight was the first time they used a backdrop for Kris’ tour. It appears to be a photo of the album cover (but without him in it, just an image of a horizon). Adds a little something to the staging, I guess

  15. Also, Kris’ street team is looking to put together a list of college and indie radio stations in the places Kris will be playing when he goes out on tour with BA. I wonder if they are going to try and put together some sort of mini radio tour for October-November?

  16. Kris is working very hard so his management is not dropping the ball. The key is to keep moving forward. Are his touring partners getting radio play or are they between releases?

  17. Queen and Adam have received mostly very good reviews from the press and fans who attended the concerts. This partnership has been great for both. Lots of new eyes on Adam. Win, win.

  18. Phillips song set tonight:
    Man On The Moon
    Searchlight
    Get Up, Get Down
    Raging Fire
    Fly
    Lead On/Jam
    Unpack Your Heart
    Gone, Gone, Gone
    Trigger
    Where We Came From
    Fool’s Dance
    Home

  19. Still, not long to wait now to see what it will be – since David said “late September, early October” for the single.

You forgot the last part of his comment where he mentions “new record at the beginning of the year”. :)
