David Archuleta is finally settled down in Utah after his whirlwind tour of Asia, promoting his Other Side of Down CD there. Next, David will be promoting the Mormon Tabernacle Choir DVD, shot last year at Christmas time.

He also talked about meeting a brave boy named Marius at the Ronald McDonald house. He was a 9 year old Romanian boy who had been severely burned in a house fire. Both of his parents were killed. He’s now 12, and here in the US receiving treatment.

David Archuleta wound up his min-asian tour in Kuala Lumpur today, performing at the Stadium Negra in front of an enthusiastic throng. Check out the encore performance of his hit “Crush” that ends with David helping out behind the drum kit! My, he’s come a long way from the “outstretched hand” days of American Idol!

David Archuleta kicked off his mini Asian tour in Jarkata, Indonesia today, performing at the Ponds Teen Concert.

David is promoting the Asian release of his album The Other Side of Down that includes 5 new songs. Check out his performance of two of those songs, “Love Don’t Hate” and “Everything and More” after the jump.

David Archuleta’s fathere, Jeff Archuleta, is once again managing him, according to the Malaysian newspaper, The Sun. In a recent tele-interview, according to the paper, he also talked about why he left Wright Management Team, and his plans for the future.

David Archuleta opened for Brad Paisley at yesterday’s Stadium of Fire concert in Provo Utah. The concert is a yearly event (Taylor Hicks and Carrie Underwood are past performers) and draws a huge crowd to BYU’s Lavell Edwards Stadium.

David Archuleta spoke with a Malaysian website, Yes.my to promote his upcoming concert in Malaysia next month. The Season 7 runner-up speaks candidly about his split with management and Jive records, plus what we can expect from him in the near future. David will be heading to Nashville for more songwriting and hopes to release a new song “for the fans” soon.
