Carrie Underwood Launches Sporty Clothing Line

Country music star, Carrie Underwood wanted to find a way to marry fashion with function in workout gear, so she is launching her own line of athletic wear with DICK’s Sporting goods.

“I consider myself to be a pretty hard worker in the gym,” the American Idol alum says. “The high performance things aren’t pretty. And then the super pretty things don’t last a long time or don’t do what I need them to do. So there is a big gap.”

The line, called Calia by Carrie Underwood will match up the singer’s love of fashion and fitness and will be available in March 2015. Capris and pants will average $60 to $85 and tops will go for $30 to $35. The pieces can be mixed and matched.

“Everything pretty much matches each other, which is something that I think is really cool because if you don’t have a lot of money to spend on things like this, it all needs to look good together,” Carrie said.

Carrie says her focus is dressing today’s busy woman, who is juggling career, family and friends.

“That’s who we make music for, that’s who we sell our records to,” Carrie says. “I don’t think it makes sense to put out things that they couldn’t go out and get.”

Carrie’s spring launch will be right around the time she and her husband, Mike Fischer, will welcome their baby boy into the world. She should start a clothing line for kids!
