Watch Carrie Underwood cover “Everybody Hurts” by R.E.M at today’s Global Citizen’s Festival in Central Park. Carrie came on stage at around 6:47 and performed a 40 minute set that included a slew of favorites, like “Jesus Takes the Wheel,” “Good Girl,” “Two Black Cadillacs,” “Before He Cheats,” “Wasted,” “Cowboy Casanova,” “See You Again,” and “Last Name.”
The concert, which also featured performances from Sting, No Doubt, and Jay Z (with a surprise appearance from Beyonce!), was broadcast on MSNBC and online at Today.com and NBCNews.com. The event served to raise awareness of poverty around the world. The goal of Global Citizens is to end poverty by the year 2030.
