ETA: Sebastian Pigott is eliminated. Mark Day and Mookie Morris are in the Bottom 3.
Who is going home tonight? I would not even venture a guess… The video should be available HERE by around 8:30 ET. I’ll put it up as soon as it’s available…
Tonight’s group song, The Who’s “My Generation” had just enough of the tongue-in-cheek to make me laugh. But there was also plenty of good singing. The AI producers really need to take a clue from CI for their group numbers. CI does an awesome job.
Nice acoustic performance from Gavin Rossdale. The recorded version of this song is a bit too poppy for me, but I do like some of his stuff with Bush.
Sebastian Pigott’s elimination doesn’t surprise me. Sure, there were singers who could have gone first, but Sebastian had a couple of trainwreck performances that would have been difficult for any Idol contestant to overcome. His OK performance this week, coupled with performing first wasn’t enough. Plus, he had that whole Toronto-doesn’t-vote-for-Idol thing working against him.
Sadly, I’m not sure that Mookie Morris is long for this world, as he keeps landing in the Bottom 3. Although the good news is that Mark Day FINALLY hit B3. The end is in sight! Heh.
Next week: Tom Jones!
