A brand new full length Cinderella trailer is out. The  musically-driven new take on the traditional story you grew up with stars Camila Cabello, an ambitious young woman whose dreams are bigger than the world will allow, but with the help of her Fab G (Billy Porter), she is able to persevere and make her dreams come true.

In the new trailer, it becomes obvious that Cinderella wants more than to be a princess. She strives to be a world-famous dress designer. When the prince (Nicholas Galitzine) falls in love with her at the ball, she does not immediately fall into his arms. “What about my work?” she asks. “I don’t want a life stuck waving from a royal box any more than a life confined to a basement.” Her step-mother (Idina Menzel) is all about having a princess in the family. “Marry him and all our problems will be solved.” she says. What’s a modern woman to do?

The dialog is sassy: “Do you want to go to that ball, and meet a bunch of rich people who will change your life?” Feb G asks Cinderella. “Yes! I was just crying and singing about it like two minutes ago.”  The snappy dialog comes from writer/director Kay Cannon, who wrote the three Pitch Perfect movies.

Written for the screen and directed by Kay Cannon with covers of songs written by some of the top-selling musical artists of all time. (The trailer features Janet Jackson’s “Rhythm Nation” and Queen’s “Somebody to Love”).

Cinderella has an all-star cast that also includes Minnie Driver, Pierce Brosnan and James Corden.  Producers are James Corden, Leo Pearlman, Jonathan Kadin and Shannon McIntosh, and executive producers are Louise Rosner and Josephine Rose.
