American Idol season 6 alum, Blake Lewis, has teamed up with fellow Seattle artist, rapper, RA Scion on “Venus in Transit.” The video premiered on Yahoo Music, but I’ve embedded the video for you right here.
RA Scion is one-half of the hip-hop duo Common Market and co-wrote “Venus in Transit” with Blake. Scion has toured and performed with Kanye West, Mos Def, Lupe Fiasco, Michael Franti, and KRS-One, amongst others.
Blake sings an ethereal chorus interwoven with RA Scion’s hard hitting raps. The song was produced by Vox Mod and the video
Produced by Northwest EDM fixture Vox Mod, and directed by local director Casey Sjogren. the video features dancers from the Pacific Northwest Ballet and filmed at Seattle dance club Q’s.
