OMG. Aaryn Gries was evicted from the Big Brother house tonight, and when Julie Chen confronted her with the actual racially charged remarks she used in the house, Aaryn went all Paula Deen and blamed it on her southern roots! She also claimed that she didn’t remember saying things like “Go cook some rice” to Helen (who is Asian) or wondering if the houseguests would be able to see African American Candice in the dark.
The reception of the live audience when Aaryn left the house was tepid, with some ACTUALLY BOOING HER. Derisive laughter met her excuses that she was “only joking”. Overall, the interview was SUPER AWKWARD.
Julie ended the interview saying that she hopes Aaryn gains some perspective after watching some of the footage back. Honestly, this chick totally lacks self-awareness and is SO clueless, I really doubt she ever will.
