Garrett Yrigoyen, who is currently competing on The Bachelorette starring Becca Kufrin deleted his social media accounts after former Bachelor contestant Ashley Spivey discovered he was liking tweets mocking undocumented immigrants, a student from Parkland, trans people, and more.
Becca gave Garrett the first impression rose on the premiere episode of The Bachelorette, which aired on Monday (May 28). Oops.
Ashley screen grabbed and posted some of his tweets on her account HERE.
Can we do a better job of social media deep dives on the dudes that try out for #thebachelorette – FYI douchebags we can see your likes.

After Lee’s problematic @$$, I truly thought this would be something we paid better attention to.

The Lee she’s referring to is Lee Garrett from Rachel Lindsay’s season. The 2017 Bachelorette was the first to feature an African American lead.

Just like today’s Roseanne trainwreck, ABC and Bachelorette producers cast the show. Surely they know how to review a potential contestant’s social media? Spoiler alert: Of course they do. They cast these controversial contestants purposely, and then act dumb when it blows up later.
