America’s Got Talent Ratings Hit Series Low, Songland Hangs Tough

America’s Got Talent first Wednesday broadcast of the season led the night’s ratings for NBC. AGT nabbed a 1.1 rating in the key 18-49 demo and 7.72 million viewers, winning the night in both measures. However, the numbers marked a series low in the demo (and actually, barely squeaked by Big Brother’s 1.o). The series fell 4/10ths of a point from last summer’s 1.5/9.85 million Wednesday debut.

But it was very good news indeed for Songland. Despite the series being off the schedule for five weeks, it came back to NBC and managed to match its July 2 numbers with a 0.7 rating in the demo.
