America’s Got Talent 2019 Quarterfinals continued Tuesday night. Twelve more acts performed for the judges, Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough and Simon Cowell. After fans vote the acts through to the next round. The results will be revealed on Wednesday’s (Aug 14) results show at 8 PM on NBC.

Simon Cowell made two separate kid acts cry. I’m not made at him really. It’s more about adults who thrust their kids into show business. It’s not healthy for the kids. I’d love to know who chose “Diamonds Are Forever” for teen singer Charlotte Summers. Simon was correct, it was a TERRIBLE song choice. Let’s hope it wasn’t one of his producers. Simon asked America to vote for her anyway. We’ll see if they do. He probably could have laid off Light Balance Kids a bit. I agree with Simon that it wasn’t their best. But they were still pretty good. Those kids were so upset after he criticized them. Good news for the kids: If Simon comes off too mean, people will VOTE in retaliation.
Also, Simon buzzing the edgy contortionist Marina Mazepa was over the top. His tastes can be so basic. My picks to go home: Nick & Lindsay, The Sentimentalists, Marina Mazepa, Chris Klafford, Light Balance Kids.
