Lee DeWyze keeps getting better and better as a songwriter. The American Idol season 9 winner has just released his new single. Titled “The Breakdown,” the song is a haunting ballad which delves into the aftermath of a painful breakup.
After stints with Vanguard and Shanachie Records, and ever since the artist’s “Blackbird Song” was chosen for a key scene in The Walking Dead, Lee has seen more than 30 placements in television shows and commercials.
Additionally, Lee recently landed a publishing deal at SONGS, the outfit that’s home to The Weeknd, Diplo, Lorde, and DJ Mustard.
