After hibernating for months, American Idol 2018 finalist and singer-songwriter Catie Turner has released a brand new song, “One Day.”
“I have been on the FBI most wanted list for awhile, just because I haven’t released any new music since ‘i luv him,’ the singer writes in an email to fans. “I have been in hiding for ALMOST A FULL YEAR. I am sorry, but the holiday season is full of miracles (and uncomfortable political talks with family but we will leave that out) so here is my early gift to u all.”
Catie continues: “I wrote this song with my friends Andrew and Annika in July of 2019, and seeing how far this song has come is honestly…. NO WORDS. NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE IT. The message of it is “one day at a time” which, y’know, can be applied to most of 2020. But hopefully next year, we can take it one day at a time without every day being a new dumpster fire (love u 2020).”
Catie promises her fans that she won’t make them wait for new music “ever again.” She jokes, “If I ever do, I give u full permission to track me down action-movie style and leak all my music.”
