The American Idol top 11 performed in Boston Monday night to a crowd filled with Angie Miller fans cheering on their hometown girl! The third place finisher grew up north of Boston, in Beverly, and seemed super pumped to be performing for friends and family.
I was in the front row, surrounded by Angie supporters. There were LOTS of young girls who seem to just adore her, and Angie made sure to look out into the crowd and wave Hi when she could–especially in the group songs.
I’ll be putting up another post with LOTS more videos, but here is Angie’s 3 song set.
She took the stage with her Jesse J “Mama Knows Best” cover. But before she sang, she thanked the crowd for coming and talked about how happy she was to be home.
Next, she sang the song that started it all when she blew away the judges in Hollywood with it–her original song, “You Set Me Free.”
She finished her set with the upbeat, “Put it On Me”, another original song. My camera got kind of shaky here when staff wanted to see my ticket. It was pretty annoying. They were clearing the front row of people who didn’t belong there. It’s not as if the front was jammed with people, and it was mostly kids…
