Christian Borle, Megan Hilty, Tom Cavanagh headline Disney Junior’s ‘Lucky Duck’ – Two Smashing Broadway stars — and one Royal Pain — will star in Disney Junior’s first-ever original movie, an animated musical called Lucky Duck. The film stars Tony winner Christian Borle as Lucky, a spirited rubber duck in search of a new home. Over the course of his journey, he meets new friends including sassy hippo Flo (Hilty, currently co-starring on Sean Saves the World) and cautious turtle Snap (Cavanagh, perhaps still best known as NBC’s Ed). – Read more at Entertainment Weekly
Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Hudson and Kerry Washington honoured for charitable work – Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Hudson and Kerry Washington were among the Hollywood stars recognised for their charity work at a special industry event on Saturday (05Oct13). Comedienne Amy Poehler, Charlize Theron and Elizabeth Banks were also feted at the Beverly Wilshire hotel during Variety magazine’s annual Power of Women ceremony, which honours celebrities for their philanthropic efforts.
