American Idol 2023 Top 12 Poll Results and Predictions

It’s the first LIVE show of the season, and another three hour American Idol telecast tonight, April 24 (8-11 pm ET/PT) on ABC as the Top 20 perform again. It will either be a VICTORY song, or a bid to be one of the two wildcards the judges will choose. America’s vote will determine the Top 10. Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan will round out a Top 12.

After last night’s performances, you all voted in a Poll, Here are your results alongside American Idol official Facebook likes and views. This time, I ordered the Facebook stats by likes. It seems more people would click a like rather than watch a video they might have already seen again.

The votes and stats are mostly similar. Matt Wilson and Colin Stough did better on Facebook than they did in the poll. But both lists seem reasonable. In the poll, Nutsa is in the lower half of the Top 20 i.e in danger. But she clearly had the best Facebook stats last night. Could the Facebook reactions be coming from people overseas who are not eligible to vote? We’ll see!

Also, seeing so many females with low Facebook numbers is kind of a bummer. It’s 12 females vs 8 males in the Top 20. But only 2 males landed in the bottom 10 of the Facebook stats. Also, check out Zachariah Smith’s Facebook stats! He’s Top 3 and that’s after performing first on a 3 hour episode. Warren Peay has also had consistently strong numbers.

Predictions

Here’s my totally unscientific prediction, considering the judges will save some favorites: Nutsa, Iam Tonga, Wé Ani, Zacharia Smith, Warren Peay, Megan Danielle, Kaeyra, Tyson Venega, Oliver Steele, Matt Wilson, Lucy Love and Marybeth Byrd. A couple of gals, and maybe Matt Wilson will need the Judges save.

Nailyah Serenity, Hannah Nicolaisen, Mariah Faith, Michael Williams, Paige Anne, Haven Madison, Olivia Soli, Colin Stough will be eliminated.

Elsewhere…

Emma Busse was voted as most robbed eliminated contestant, with nobody robbed coming in as the second choice. That sounds reasonable. Iam Tonigi and Wé Ani are the King and Queen of the mjsbigblog poll. Both scored percentages in the teens ahead of the other contestants.
