The American Idol 2019 Hollywood Rounds began on Sunday (March 25).
American Idol 2019 Recap – Hollywood Week 1 Live Blog (VIDEOS)
Hollywood Week is the most “reality” like round of American Idol. Sometimes the show finds a good balance between music and drama, and sometimes it doesn’t. This season, it was the former. For me, the episode flew by. There was a ton of music, and I liked that. The performances included 18+ solos and a handful of group numbers.
The episode ended on a classic note. Nate Walker was taken away by ambulance after EMTs determined that his flu-like symptoms needed attention. Not gonna lie. I’m looking forward to finding out tomorrow whether Nate makes it back from the hospital in time to sing. I’m betting he does.
As far as favorite performances are concerned, it’s hard to pick one (but I’m going to ask that you do in our polls!). My favorites were: Alejandro Aranda’s “Sorry” by Justin Bieber Walker Burroughs’ “Whereabouts” by Stevie Wonder and Madison vandenburg’s “Already Gone” by Kelly Clarkson.
Also, Jade Flores, William Oliver Jr and Chloe Channell were robbed, ya’ll.
