American Idol 2018: Idina Menzel to Mentor Top 10 Disney Night

We already know that after the American Idol Top 10 are revealed on Monday April 23, the contestants will return the following Sunday (April 29) to perform songs from the Disney catalog (It will be a PRINCE theme for the Top 7 on May 6!).

Now, Variety reports that Broadway and Glee star, Idina Menzel will be on hand next Sunday to mentor the contestants on Disney night.  The singer had a massive Top 10 hit with the song “Let it Go” from the popular Disney movie Frozen.  She also won a Tony award for her role as Elphaba in the hit Broadway musical Wicked.  Additionally, she played Rachel’s (Idol mentor and duet partner, Lea Michele) long lost mom on Glee

Menzel has some SERIOUSLY massive pipes and a well regarded stage career. The esteemed singer/actress will surely have great tips for the Top 10 in terms of stage presence and vocal presentation. So watch out for that!

In the meantime, The Top 14 will perform for your votes on Sunday April 22. On Monday April 23, six contestants will sing a victory song after advancing to the Top 10 via viewer votes.  The remaining eight singers will perform for the judges who will then choose four wildcards to complete the Top 10.
