Last night was, overall, a really good night of performances, but somebody has to go home. My choices for Bottom 3 are Stefano Langone, Lauren Alaina and Jacob Lusk, with Jacob going home.
The combination of performing early and lecturing America on their inability to get his greatness will sink Jacob’s boat tonight. His performances have been uneven all season. Last night was good, but not stand out.
If Jacob manages to stick around, then it will be Stefano hitting the road. His vocal was greatly improved last night, but he still performs as if he singing in a New Jersey lounge. Performing next to last could help save him this week.
Lauren performed in the middle of the pack. Her performance was good, but not outstanding. She could be a surprise boot tonight. Ditto Casey Abrams. His performance was solid, but not “Your Song” level awesome, and he performed 3rd. Could be Casey runs out of chances tonight.
