American Idol 10 Judges’ Panel Debuts in New Jersey

The American Idol Season 10 judges’ round auditions began in New Jersey today.

The new panel,   consisting of Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, and Randy Jackson auditioned hopefuls for the very first time today.  Host Ryan Seacrest and returning executive producer, Nigel Lythgoe were also on hand.

Nigel tweeted a first-look photo of the new panel, “It’s great to be back on American Idol. The judges were great.”

According to reports, Idol crews will be filming in Jersey City until Thursday.  Check out a FOX 43 news report after the jump…

ETA:  Veteran, Randy Jackson sits in Simon’s old chair, although that might not be permanent. Also, now that Simon Cowell is  gone, the critiques may go in random order for each contestant as they do on DWTS and SYTYCD.  Actually, they tried that for a hot minute on Idol a few seasons ago, but it didn’t last.
