AGT’s Drake Milligan Performs Single on Kelly Clarkson Show

Stoney Creek recording artist Drake Milligan visited The Kelly Clarkson Show on Monday (1/30) to perform his Country single “Sounds Like Something I’d Do.”

“Sounds Like Something I’d Do” has now broken into Country radio’s Top 40. The song, by the America’s Got Talent 2022 third place finisher and American Idol alum, hit No. 1 on the iTunes Country Single chart in 2022. The music video hit #1 on the iTunes Video chart as well.

Drake’s debut album Dallas/Fort Worth, produced by Tony Brown (George Strait, Reba McEntire), -includes tunes like “Sounds Like Something I’d Do,” “Kiss Goodbye All Night,” “Over Drinkin’ Under Thinkin’” and more.

“As a lifelong Country music fan, it has been my dream make a full-length record that pays homage to traditional Country roots, while still bringing new sounds and energy to the genre,” said Drake in a press statement about the new album.

Kelly Clarkson introduced her fellow Texan, mentioning that he starred as Elvis Presley in the CMT series, Sun Records, which is currently streaming on Paramount+.

Drake made his Grand Ole Opry debut late last year, get a behind-the-scenes look into his “My Opry Debut” HERE. The singer’s dad, Jimmy, was so proud of his son, he shed tears.

The singer is currently on tour, with stops planned from Texas to California and beyond in February. He’ll follow up with trip to the UK for the 2023 C2C: Country to Country Festival on March 11-12, and has more dates scheduled through spring and summer – including an appearance at 2023 Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California, on April 28.
