The country community had already begun to take notice of the singing trio Chapel Hart before they appeared on America’s Got Talent last week and received the group Golden Buzzer. But after they stole the hearts of the judges, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara and Simon Cowell with their clever original song, “You Can Have him Jolene,” a girl power take on Dolly Parton’s famous “Jolene,” the attention kept coming.
Dolly Parton gave Chapel Hart a shoutout!
First, Dolly herself gave the group–which includes sisters Danica Hart and Devynn Hart, along with cousin Trea Swindle,–a shout out on Twitter. “What a fun new take on my song, @ChapelHartBand! Carl’s birthday is today so I think I’ll hang on to him, and I’m not notifying Jolene that today is his birthday.” Carl is Dolly’s husband, whom the real Jolene had her eye on. We know who won that battle.

The group recorded a song with Darius Rucker
Additionally, the group revealed in an interview with TMZ that they recorded a song with Darius Rucker before their AGT audition aired last week, and recently got the good news that it’s making it onto his latest album. When Darius DM’d them on Twitter, they thought they were being punked at first.
In the meantime, their album, The Girls Are Back in Town, hit No. 1 on the iTunes country music chart. And the song “You Can Have Him Jolene” is still in the overall iTunes Top 10 after almost a week. Chapel Hart’s America’s Got Talent audition on Youtube has over 5 million views.
The trio will make their Grand Ole Opry debut
Last but not least, the Grand Ole Opry has invited the trio to make their debut at the storied venue. There was a bit of a mixup over dates. Chapel Hill excitedly accepted a date before they checked their calendar. But the Opry graciously accepted an alternate date. The Twitter exchanges, with the cakes, is adorable.
Chapel Hart will perform at the Grand Ole Opry September 17.
Ya know what would be the icing on this triple layer German chocolate cake of a day? If the @opry invited us to sing there!
