On Monday, British chanteuse, Adele, dropped by the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon to perform a new tune, “Water Under the Bridge,” from her third studio album, 25.

According to Billboard,  via Nielsen Music, Adele’s 25 has broken the single-week U.S. album sales record! That’s something to celebrate, with a TV appearance or two.

After processing the first sales reports from Monday, Nov. 23, the album has already sold at least 2,433,000 in pure album sales in slightly more than three days. That sum beats the single-week record for an album since Nielsen began tracking sales in 1991, set by *NSYNC’s No Strings Attached, when it debuted with 2,416,000 in the week ending March 26, 2000.

It is a particularly amazing feat, considering album sales have been on a downward spiral since the early aughts, when music became easy to pirate and downloads readily available via iTunes and other digital services.

Adele has released a monster!

The singer has been wowing fans stateside this week, with flawless performances on Saturday Night Live, and now this lovely and pitch perfect rendition of another track from 25. Adele will also appear on the Today show Wednesday morning.
