The Voice 9 Top 11 Results Live Blog Recap

The Voice 9 Top 11 Results Live blog! Join us as we report who is staying in the competition, and who is leaving. ONE contestant will exit the competition after the insta-save sing-off.

Check out our recap from last night’s The Voice Top 11 performance, and check out our polls and predictions.

Will the eliminated contestant come from Team Adam Levine, Team Blake Shelton, Team Gwen Stefani or Team Pharrell Williams? Stick around to find out.

Carson Daly is LIVE with YOUR RESULTS. He introduces the coaches, explains the rules, blah blah blah.

But before we do damage, country superstar, Brad Paisley, takes the stage to perform his latest single, “Country Nation.” Yee Haw country stations. Cumulus thanks you, Brad.  WAVE THAT OLE RED WHITE AND BLUE. The American flag, is all lit up and sparkly as a backdrop. Carson reminds us that Brad was Blake’s adviser earlier in the season.

OK. It’s time for some results. The Top 11 take the stage. Real Dumb Questions time. What does Blake’s support mean to Emily Ann? She’s so happy that he supports her retro bluegrass ways. The first two artists who are safe will be revealed. America saved…from Team Adam…Amy Vachal. Ohhh Shelby’s got her bitchy resting face going.  America also saved…from Team Gwen…Braiden Sunshine. I knew that kid was safe. Of course.

“We never run out of this unbelievable talent pool,” Blake gushes. Yes, America only has so much talent, before it runs out. Oy. Blake  defends the coaches’ choices at the Playoffs, believing that the lives performances prove they made the right decisions.  Pharrell defends this season, claiming “super magical moments” and singers who keep getting “better and better” have made the season memorable. My, we’re defensive tonight.

Adam asks Jordan to explain why it was so important for him to sing, “Who I Am” last night. “It just kind of embodies who I am…The message is so important …to stay true to who you are.” And America saved…from Team Blake…Zach Seabaugh. America ALSO saved…from Team Adam…Jordan Smith. Shelby was literally LOOKING at him before his name was called. Poor kid. She knows she’s in trouble.

Next, Gwen Stefani and her team take the stage to sing “You Get What You Give.” Jeffery making the rest look pathetic, including coach Gwen. #OneOfTheseThingsIsNotLikeTheOthers. Everytime Jeffery takes the mic, it’s like he just parachuted into a trainwreck.

Next, a video package features the singers having a Thanksgiving dinner, with their families in attendance. They read funny “thank you” notes from each other. The clip finishes with a rousing rendition of “Lean on Me.”

Back to questions. Adam asks Evan what he learned from Pharrell. He taught the singer about connecting emotionally to the audience, or something. OK. Back to results. America saved…from Team Pharrell…Madi Davis! America also saved…from Team Blake Shelton…Emily Ann Roberts!

Adam Levine and his team join together to sing “Wouldn’t it Be Nice.”  OMFG Adam is ruining my favorite Beach Boys song. Geez. ADAM IS ATROCIOUS. Actually, the entire song is a damn hot mess. I have to say it, only Jordan and his sweet clear tenor could do justice to the Brian Wilson parts of this song. It’s why Adam should have left ALL the falsettos to him. What a wasted opportunity. Brian Wilson is crying.

The remaining 5 contestants are on stage.  How has being on The Voice changed Jeffery? He’s never going back to his day job, ya’ll. America Saved…from Team Adam…OOPS Team Gwen…Jeffery Austin is moving on. YAY. I would have cut a damn bitch if he wasn’t safe.  America ALSO saved Barrett Baber from Team Blake. America also saved…Shelby Brown!!!!! WOW. Most of us predicted she’d be in the bottom two.

Evan McKeel and Korin Bukowski will sing for the InstaSave

Evan McKeel – Let’s Stay Together by Marvin Gaye – Evan’s run on The Voice could have been so much better. I’m not sure another week or two will make much of a difference for him. He would have never made past the Top 9 blood bath. This performance is so AWKWARD. His vocal is OK, but dude cannot sex. The second hand embarrassment is strong on this one. If you close your eyes and listen, the performance has its moments, revealing what might have been. Blake says he’s a fan, and basically, chin up. Don’t let being in the bottom bring you down. Pharrell talks about music and connection to God and whatever. “You’re only running your own race, against your own.”

Korin Bukowski – She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5 –  This performance was OK until she hit the chorus.  She really doesn’t have the vocal power to sing dynamically. The bigger notes are pitifully out of tune.  Korin needs some serious vocal training if she’s going to follow a performing career. She should go back to med school, really. Adam is partial. He’s never heard a female vocal on that song. “Thank you. That was really beautiful.” Adam instructs viewers to vote for her. Ugh. His fans will be out in full force now. “I think they should save her again! That would be so awesome!” says Gwen, sounding like a 14 year old girl. Then, more blah blah about “personal growth” which, I’m sorry, I have not seen from Korin.

OK Time to VOTE

#VoiceSaveKorin

Evan was at least on key through most of his performance. I’m going to take a few moments to vote for him. Bye. I’m back. Korin was in the lead during the break. Ugh. Adam Levine and his call to action. Neither performance was good, but I’m going to take a flyer on Evan. Korin had her chance last week.

America instantly saved…Korin Bukowski for the second week in a row!

Oh well. Not that it really mattered which one left tonight. Neither had long to last. But, if Korin is back in the bottom next week, and she knocks out someone who matters… I’m not going to think about that now.
