Adam Lambert sat down with Chelsea Handler on her E! late night chatfest, Chelsea Lately tonight.

Chelsea totally cracked Adam up, telling him he has an open invitation to grind whatever he wants into his crotch on her show.     Good to know!

  1. Did he loan her that shoulder thingee from his SYTYCD appearance? I know this was actually before, just play along folks. He did look cute, and she has very sexy legs, lol. Not all skinny and malnourished calf. His laugh is very wonderful somehow.

  2. Did he loan her that shoulder thingee from his SYTYCD appearance?

I was thinking that she loaned him the ribbons and crap from her dress. Bad Chelsea!

  3. His laugh rocks my sox off!! I love his smile & laugh so so much. I can’t begin to tell you how much. It makes me OVER FLOW with joy. I can’t explain it! BEST. Interview. EVER. (because of all the smiles & laughs) :)

  4. I agree. GREAT interview. She “gets” him, pointed out his sarcasm and applauded his unabashedly claiming his AMA performance. If I hadn’t seen Adam perform earlier tonight on SYTYCD, I would have been so so so disappointed. Am only disappointed! Can’t get enough of Adam’s singing!!! Off to my ipod…

  5. The other Idols could take a page from this boy’s management’s media playbook. Besides the AMAs, perhaps. But even that’s debatable. Anyway, blanket the airwaves, spill gallons of ink! Scream his name from the mountain tops! One thing’s for certain, Team Adam are earning their freakin’ paychecks! Nice job.

  6. He’s cute. I want to hug him!

And I like Chelsea a lot. Her type of humor is awesome. ♥ She’s so cool and direct without being rude. (“And you used to be pretty fat.”)

    And this:
    4:21
“But this happened while you were ON acid.”
“This realization, yes.” *adorable face* “Yes. I think…it’s supposed to be that way!” (Oh, I see. It’s important to make your deep life realizations while on acid :) )

aww. This is an interview I’m saving.

  7. What a great interview! Thank you for posting it MJ. I don’t get this channel so to see it up so quickly is wonderful :)

  8. Our boy did good. Had me laughing so much I’ll have a hard time getting to sleep now. I was so glad to see the video as didn’t think I could stay up for the broadcast. I like Chelsea’s show a lot. She isn’t as mean spirited as a lot of the comedian today seem to be but manages to say what she wants too and in the language she chooses. Great night for TV and for Adam and for me. Night all.

  9. Cute interview….CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So Adam made me like Chelsea….. Adam makes me like everyone that he interacts with…

  10. “all gays like all gays” LOL. gotta love adam. maybe this will put a stop to OTT fans trying to set him up with Neil Patrick Harris….the other du jour mainstream gay male :)

“have you ever tripped on acid w. paula? ” LMAO

(on a shallow note, she has great legs)

  11. He is such a pretty boy.

Ikr? I kind of hate him, lol.

I catch myself being jealous too, but then I remember what a sweetheart he is and how much he deserves it. Being pretty. ^.^

  12. Wow it’s been a few years since I’ve seen Chelsea Lately…poor girl is anorexic! So sad. Adam was great as always.

  13. she was really nice to him, too. It showed that she liked him. Sometimes, when she does not like her guest she can be really condescending :) It was great fun, thanks MJ :)

  14. Chelsea scared me. I’ve never heard of her before, but she was nice to Adam. So that was good….

Agree or Anderson Cooper or the straight guy TommyJoe Ratliff?

  17. wow, that guy is tall, Adam looked like a kid beside him :) so Adam is on Leno tonight?

  18. wow, that guy is tall, Adam looked like a kid beside him :) so Adam is on Leno tonight?

no he wasn’t on except for this little skit.. he’s on Leno on the 21st.

  19. oh, thanks jun, do you know if he is going to chat and sing or just sing?

  20. I thought that was hilarious. I loved how Chelsea did that interview without cracking a smile. That made her even funnier.

  21. I loved watching a somewhat let loose and have fun kind of interview. Did anyone see the promo that was shown earlier today for tonights show? It was hilarious. Adam said he had a big secret he wants to reveal on Chelsea lately. She then whispered he’s a woman. the look on Adam’s face was so funny. His mouth opened wide and he said what??? and then started laughing. She started laughing too. I’m glad I caught that.

  22. and she made a very good point saying that Adam was very normal beyond his wild rocker image – I think it’s what makes him so wonderful and endearing to other people – that he is so not affected and not serious about himself

  23. Great interview and she brings up a really good point about staying “real” and unaffected. What makes Adam so loveable is how he connects to whoever he is talking to and is completely natural. When I see Lady Gaga interviews or performaces, it’s always like she is hiding behind her character. Her eyes look scared and wary and her make-up and clothes are like a defense. I never feel in any way connected to her – and that includes her concerts. And Madonna has a wall so big around her that it never feels like the interviewer is talking to a real person. Maybe that’s what years of fame does to a person.
Anyway, Adam just makes you want to jump through the screen and hug him.

  27. And I like Chelsea a lot. Her type of humor is awesome. â™ ¥ She’s so cool and direct without being rude. (‘ And you used to be pretty fat.’ )

For me, Chelsea is easily the funniest woman on tv right now. I just LMAO during her whole show every night. I love in her interviews when she just throws something direct like that out there. She has this funny thing about her, where she can be kind of poking fun at you, while being really supportive at the same time.

Even though her interviews are short (E! I command you to extend her to a full hour!), they’re always so entertaining. Adam was a great guest for her. It always works better when she has someone on who has a pretty good sense of humor (especially about themselves).

  28. Is it bad to wonder why he sits with his legs so spread wide open? I just couldnt get by that. Anyhow he looked cute and love watching him laugh.

Is it bad to wonder why he sits with his legs so spread wide open? I just couldnt get by that. Anyhow he looked cute and love watching him laugh.

I was once told by a body language expert that sitting open legged means you’re sexually confident (I remember it because there were a number of girls who started arguing that just because they sat cross-legged didn’t mean they wheren’t sexually confident, but that it was more lady-like blah blah…).
As if we needed more proof of bb’s being confident about his sexuality, lol!

  30. I also find it offputting when he sits with his legs wide open all the time. Comes across slutty, lazy, rude, to me. Too much in-your-face sexuality, as if that’s all he’s about. But it plays well on Chelsea, that’s her schtick. Personally I don’t think he’s so natural or unaffected. He seems fairly calculating to me, and the naturalness seems like a persona. But that’s just me, one voice in the wilderness LOL.

  31. “He is just perfection.
Legs open, closed, crossed or wrapped around me someone, I don’t even care. Perfect.”

LOL. Love the wrapped around me….I agree-THAT would be perfection….
He is such a great guest!

OMG’ ¦ He really is a photographer’s dream. oozing with lava HOTNESS!

    Definitely volcanic!

[On Leno] do you know if he is going to chat and sing or just sing?

    Sing + chat.

  33. Comes across slutty, lazy, rude, to me. Too much in-your-face sexuality, as if that’s all he’s about.

    Really? I mean, really? O_o’

Look, it’s pretty simple actually. Guys are taught to sit that way, not with their legs closed. It has nothing to necessarily do with being sexual either, it’s just more comfortable for us. Also, if the seat is a bit lower than the knees, it’s just natural for the knees to go outward, not inward. If anything, it just showed that he was completely at ease.

As the saying goes, sometimes a banana is just a banana.

  34. Is it bad to wonder why he sits with his legs so spread wide open? I just couldnt get by that. Anyhow he looked cute and love watching him laugh.

In my opinion, that’s just how guys sit. Women sit with their legs closed. Men open.

Oops – I see Hermetically Sealed explained before me. I agree completely :)

  35. Is it bad to wonder why he sits with his legs so spread wide open?

It’s probably more comfortable. Don’t want to squish the package. Oh, sorry, is that inappropriate?

  36. Yeah, that’s just the way guys sit. Quite frequently when I have to share a seat on the subway some dude’s got his legs spread and I am stuck in one-third of the bench, trying to preserve my personal space.

  37. I also find it offputting when he sits with his legs wide open all the time. Comes across slutty, lazy, rude, to me. Too much in-your-face sexuality, as if that’s all he’s about. IMO that Adam knows exactly what and why he does things – to stir controversy and keep his name out there!

  38. googletot, I am sure you are being sarcastic, right? stirring controversy by sitting the way millions of guys do? where is the controversy in that?
I personally was taught at home, that one should have legs together when sitting, but I take no offence if somebody does not follow that rule, except maybe on a crowded bus :)

    LOLOL!

  40. I do have a question. I couldn’t understand who she was saying took Adam to see Madonna? Can anyone help me there? I just loved this interview!

  41. Adam said that a friend of his and Madonna’s took him there, and Chelsea asked if it was Lourdres (Madonna’s daughter) :)

  42. I do have a question. I couldn’t understand who she was saying took Adam to see Madonna? Can anyone help me there? I just loved this interview!

Lourdes, Madonna’s daughter. I think the joke was that Adam is closer in age to Madonna’s daughter than to Madonna.

  43. sometimes a banana is just a banana

Don’t want to squish the package.

Oh, what a great idea for an endorsement deal! And some bunches are larger than others :)

  44. Sorry, but dude is packing. It’s just more comfortable, ask any man.

LMAO. That’s what I think too. He’s got to give everything *ahem* room.

  45. The friend who took him to Madonna’s was Monte Pittman, the guitarist that stands to Adam’s back right in his band. They were in a band together before Idol called The Citizen Vein. Monte was a guitarist for Madonna at one time. There are vids of him on stage with her. He was prominent in “Ray of Light”. He’s awesome.

  46. Chelsea was so funny! I think Adam totally missed her thing about being phobic about guys with red hair! It’s one of the funniest things in her book when she tries to date a guy with red hair.

and yeah: “lifestyle changes”- code for sex, drugs, and rock n roll?

  47. re: sitting

Plus he’s fairly tall, so his legs are going to be even farther apart when sitting in a low chair.

  48. “Is it bad to wonder why he sits with his legs so spread wide open?

It’s probably more comfortable. Don’t want to squish the package. Oh, sorry, is that inappropriate?

    LOLOL!”””

Seriously laughing out loud – not gonna even abreviate on this one, squish the package – ha ha ha ha – so funny someone above noted he cant even sit right without getting judged!! ha ha ha ha

“”Adam said that a friend of his and Madonna’s took him there, and Chelsea asked if it was Lourdres (Madonna’s daughter) “”

His guitar player, Monte, used to play for Madonna – maybe thats who brought him over (oh ha – stange beat me to it)

  49. LMAO. That’s what I think too. He’s got to give everything *ahem* room.

And he sure as hell needs it. And I sure as hell want to be able to see all THAT, so keep your legs open for us, dude!

    oh, /inappropriate. :P

  50. You guys are hilarious! Squish the package! My coworker asked me what was so funny! Love the EW pic. Is it wrong to be jealous of a bottle?

  51. Adam’s cameo on Leno was hilarious! I love the fact that he can laugh about the ‘AMA’ moment and joke about it with that sattire. Love me some Adam.

  52. I noticed him changing his position a couple times in the chair, kinda awkardly rearranging himself – and I thought it was adorable! Like a little kid squirming :-)

  53. I think the Chelsea interview was hilarious. Adam’s best interview yet. I didn’t notice anything unusual or bad about the way he was sitting. Didn’t even occur to me until I started reading the comments here.

Chelsea and Adam are like the Daily Double…it’s like Adam fans can now proceed to the pay window…

  54. Oh, and about the Leno thing – Thank you MJ for posting! I was literally watching Leno last night after SYTYCD (and before Chelsea, lol), and I had JUST changed the channel during the mistletoe skit to make sure I didn’t miss any Chelsea, and then my mom comes in and says “Ohh, Adam was just on Leno!” And I was DYING – did I seriously just miss it!? Lol.

  55. Just watched the Leno – that was HILARIOUS! LOVED how he just pops up at the end of an otherwise kinda silly skit.

  56. Those two videos are so made of winning moments. I thought the Chelsea Lately show was a really good and so funny interview.

  57. I think Adam would have been more comfortable in a higher couch? His legs are long and now skinney, and if he put them straight out in front of him together he would have looked like he was sitting in a hole. I just noticed it so much maybe with the black pants on, it just was so noticeable. Not that its a bad thing, I just kept staring there, ya know.
Well maybe he can just stand during interviews!!!

  58. On an upcoming tour

Very interesting (and YEA for tour!!!) I think smaller is definitely smart, unless he was going to open or co-headline with someone who was more established (still hoping for my Gaga/Adam tour, or SuBo/Adam tour as consolation prize ;-) )

So, are some of these things (pics and interview) going to be in the print EW (which is their year end review issue?) I’m thinking yes, if they had a whole photo shoot etc with him. And he was probably picked as one of their standout entertainers of the year, and might have a one page article in the print version.

  59. Any answer from Adam about his shoulder growth? I love that everyone that loves Adam can still have fun with some things he does and its not taken to seriously. I’m still pulling for Black Roses.

  60. Adam on Chelsea was absolutely adorable. Adam’s laugh is so contagious and he is such a doll. I love the way he sits with his legs apart. He did it on The View. So natural all the time. What is there not to like about Adam. Everybody should be grateful he is in our world today and entertaining us. I know listeing to him sing and watching him perform on TV or in a music video is pure joy. He makes me happy. I can’t wait for Jay Leno on Monday—-and someday I’m hoping to see Adam in a movie. He is oozing with talent.

  61. this Leno thing on Monday may be quite funny – Leno seems to like Adam :)

  62. Any answer from Adam about his shoulder growth? I love that everyone that loves Adam can still have fun with some things he does and its not taken to seriously. I’m still pulling for Black Roses.

It IS kind of hard to take him too seriously, ya know…

  63. Oh, and just to add: Adam looking absolutely beautiful on Chelsea too! Love the black, and hair, and everything :-)

  64. I just quickly looked through the print version of EW. I looked fast and may have missed him-but I didn’t see any Adam. Anyone else?

  65. Not all men, just gay men. :|

Ah, I see. I was thinking about it and I guess gay men are held to a different [fucked up] standard indeed by ~some people. He not only needs to be skinny like an anorexic Hollywood woman but also sit like one. Sorry to say, it won’t happen. Too much stuff going on there. ;) And I do hope he drops this damn diet.

  66. Thanks MJ! These are fab. I LOVE these videos! Anything that deviates from the standard AMA questions is GREAT!!!

  67. Dressed in a slim-fitting gray suit (with strange, black, blobby detailing on the shoulder), a pompadour and saddle shoes, Lambert busted out with a beautifully sung, toned-down performance of his Pink-and-Max-Martin-penned tune. Instead of the theatrics he employed at the American Music Awards last month, Lambert used his voice to keep everyone entertained.

    saddle shoes???? LOL

  68. I just quickly looked through the print version of EW. I looked fast and may have missed him-but I didn’t see any Adam. Anyone else?

Accd the preview given by EW, he is on the cover (along with a whole lotta other folks) and is listed as one of their entertainers of the year

  69. Accd the preview given by EW, he is on the cover (along with a whole lotta other folks) and is listed as one of their entertainers of the year

Yes – just went to the website, and they picked 15 entertainers of the year, including Adam. Having subscribed to EW for a few years now, they typically have at least one page per person for a year-end section like this (pic and quotes). So I can’t imagine him not being there.

ETA: Plus, EW generally LURVES Adam (website and in print) so I’d expect them to put him in the issue. After all, who else got the special photo shoot gallery posted on their website ;-) Not SuBo – lol.

  70. “I . . . find it offputting when he sits with his legs wide open all the time.”

Interestingly, I find it on-turning when he sits with his legs wide open all the time. But that’s just me, one horny voice in the wilderness.

” I don’t think he’s so natural or unaffected. He seems fairly calculating to me, and the naturalness seems like a persona.”

“Calculating” has a negative connotation to me and, if you don’t think he’s “natural,” do you think he’s fake?

When someone ACTS nice all the time (and, amazingly, by all accounts so far, he has, no?) doesn’t that make them . . . well, nice? I mean, if there’s not a story or incident illustrating otherwise or some “tell” like in poker, shouldn’t he just be considered real?

  71. I guess I’m in the minority (haven’t read the whole thread) but I thought the Chelsea Lately show sucked. Nothing against Adam…

Practically the whole show, started at the beginning way before Adam arrived, involved jokes about gays. I have noticed this more and more on television and also early morning radio on a local LA station.

Why do people think being gay is so f**king hilarious? I am not saying we have to be politically correct 24/7 but this is way too much and after awhile not very funny.

  72. bridget, I couldn’t agree more :) Plus, it would be taking it to real extreme to suspect him of calculating even how he should sit, come on!!
He has admitted many times that he is a planner, like to plan his performance, it is not calculating, it’s just being a good performer.
I cannot believe that if he were a cold, calculating person, it wouldn’t come out somehow, until now. No way. He is really and simply a nice person, even Chelsea said it, and she does not praise people a lot.

  73. I didn’t think about that, Rev, but, for me, that’s a point well worth considering.

Maybe Adam felt that way a little, too, when he was saying “right, because all gay men like all gay men” – sort of, this is funny because it’s a stereotype, ok, but let’s move on.

My thoughts after watching the Chelsea Lately show were that she cracked Adam up a lot (like Michelle Collins does, too). He seems to love super-quick, unabashedly bold women who try to shock him a little (i.e., Michelle’s description of how the Collins’ women can . . .”make fruitcake”).

Then, I thought, well, that was like a Chelsea monologue of which Adam was the subject. Not much conversation, really.

I understand your point, and tbh, if I had one gripe about the appearance, that would be it – I almost perceived a twinge on Adam’s face, particularly during the whole “office gay guy” bit, where Adam was sorta like “ok, wtf, can we move on without it all being about me being gay?”

Unfortunately, this is kinda where our still very messed up society is right now. There has been some great commentary made (forget where I read an article recently about it), that talked about the fine line between making jokes about gay people who are in on the joke, and being condescending and even borderline homophobic. Not that that is at all what I think Chelsea is (in fact, I have a sense she is exactly the opposite – seems very open-minded, etc.)

But yeah, movies and tv especially can be pretty bad in this regard. We still have a long way to go, unfortunately…

  75. edit: No blog on blog discussion please

Anyway…so…as far as Adam on Chelsea Lately. I am sure I am in the minority on this, but I didn’t like it. Adam was hot, of course, and having his legs apart just meant more Adam, but she is waaaay too snarky for me. It was all day, all the time. No me likey. Adam was, as always, a good sport about it, and his laugh was infectious (as was his smile), but *I* felt uncomfortable. Of course, I did going in there, anyway (not a Chelsea fan, tho I love Joel McHale), and I thought she was very approving of the AMAs (she kind of likes to push buttons….lol on the crotch grinding) and I was pleased that she actually brought up his ALBUM (son of a gun, the guy sings! Wow.). But, you know, that’s me.

OTOH, I loved his little cameo on Leno. OMG, this sit down is going to be priceless. Leno seems to be a major fan of Adam’s, and I think it’s going to be fun (not sad, like w/ Ellen, or sort of having to defend himself, like with The View). Just a good time.

Okay, so I checked back in. Thanks for looking for me. 8)

  76. Anyone know the date of the EW. The one I saw looks like the year end issue and has Johnny Depp on the cover. Inside are photo spreads of several individual people, no Adam but a similar shoot of JT.

  77. Anyone know the date of the EW. The one I saw looks like the year end issue and has Johnny Depp on the cover. Inside are photo spreads of several individual people, no Adam but a similar shoot of JT.

Ahh – the Johnny Depp one is the current issue – not the year end one with Adam (which has tons of people in mosaic format on the cover). That one comes in the mail on either Thursday (today) or Friday (for me). May hit stores over the weekend?

ETA: I misspoke – Sandra Bullock is on the most recent EW – Johnny Depp I believe was from 2 weeks ago. So yeah, not the current issue :-)

  78. On an upcoming tour

Predictions? What do you think his tour show will be like?

Number of songs? Will the set list be static (the same every night) or dynamic (change from night to night)?

Will Adam wear the same attire/costumes each night? Or will it vary?

Will the banter be scripted of off the cuff?

Will there be a set choreography or will it be free from from song to song?

    Okay den.

But seriously, a lot of guys sit that way, it’s just something they do. And they especially do that if the chairs are kind of low and because of their leg length and/or way of sitting, sitting that way, it’s more comfortable.

I really don’t find how Adam sat at the Chelsea Lately show to be indicative of his personality, of fakeness or a need to flaunt his sexuality, or trying to stir controversy…from how he sat in a chair. But evidently that’s just me. I found it indicative of his being a guy…sitting in a chair and possibly a guy sitting in a shorter chair.

    But clearly MMVs on this.

  80. jan, maybe something similar to the cabaret shows he used to do? IDK

  81. hi suebrody!!!!

And revcat too…I did not like the Chelsea Lately interview either. Couldn’t she think of any other questions? the AMA’s..what?? Madonna’s house…what??? Same ole stuff. It’s like other interviewers that just don’t know alot about the guests. I was disappointed…can’t wait to see Leno.

  82. Do we have anything Adam to watch tonite?

Well, tonight was going to be Jimmy Kimmel :-( However, I am happy Allison is the one who gets to do it instead – if anyone deserved the extra exposure right now, it’s her.

I think I’ll be re-watching all the recent vids tonight ;-) (SYTYCD, Chelsea, etc.)

  83. the way he sits?? Just when I thought I had heard all of the silly stuff, someone surprises me!

I work with mostly men and they all sit the same way. So do all of my male relatives. Its a man thing…called comfort!

  84. I work with mostly men and they all sit the same way. So do all of my male relatives. Its a man thing’ ¦called comfort!

I’ve never much paid attention, but I’m pretty sure most of the men I know sit this way as well. Especially the tall ones, with long legs. A chair that height really leaves them no other choice – other then the two legs bent to the side like a 1950’s secretary taking dictation.

  85. Just got home and am trying to catch up a bit……..
I wasn’t too crazy about the Chelsea interview, either. My favorite interview so far is “The View”, but I am looking forward to Leno on Monday. I’m wondering if he will both interview and perform.
About Adam sitting with his legs apart, that is a very masculine thing, and I personally LOVE it!

  86. Chelsea’s hit or miss with me, generally. This time’s a hit, but that may be more appropriately credited to Adam. :-)

But good for her for supporting him, openly, unequivocally, and unconditionally. Love her for that.

  87. Suebrody…glad to see your back!

I don’t watch Chelsea Lately very often. She can get too snarky for me sometimes but, that said, I do think she likes Adam and appreciates what he’s doing. But, being a comic, she’s naturally going for the joke. I’m sure Adam knew all about her before he went on the show. He seemed to have a good time.

Now…waiting for the Leno show since the Adam cameo walk-on was alot ot fun!

  88. I saw Cory Monteith on Chelsea, he was sitting the same way (and is also tall), so no big deal to me.

I was surprised at how straight Adam answered her (few) questions. It seems like she likes sarcastic banter, and perhaps he could have played along more. I thought he seemed a little nervous.

    But so gorgeous as always!

  89. I really don’t find how Adam sat at the Chelsea Lately show to be indicative of his personality, of fakeness or a need to flaunt his sexuality, or trying to stir controversy’ ¦from how he sat in a chair. But evidently that’s just me. I found it indicative of his being a guy’ ¦sitting in a chair and possibly a guy sitting in a shorter chair.

Actually, I was responding to two different comments made by others. One commented on how he sat with his legs so far apart, so I said that I, too, noticed it and wasn’t crazy about it. I don’t think most guys sit with their legs that far apart, it was noticable and I don’t usually notice how most guys sit. To those who said it was “fucked up” of me to feel that way, and that it’s a “different standard for gay guys,” not true at all. A few guys sit that way and I think it’s rude, that’s just how I feel and they are not gay by the way. Guys sit with their legs apart, but not that far apart usually. Someone else noticed it too and commented before I did. It does feel like a dumb thing to talk about, but that’s what we do on message boards, comment on small things.

My husband was 6’4″ and never sat with his legs that far apart as a norm. I see tall guys sitting all the time and legs are comfortably apart, not stretched as far as possible. Maybe it had something to do with the height of the chair. Or maybe it’s part of Adam’s image that he wants to project, in an effort to be sexy. Don’t know. Just commenting on a message board, not “fucked up” and not making anti-gay statements (that’s a laughable idea and so far from the truth).

Others said that he was “so natural”; to me, he doesn’t come across that way, so I joined in the discussion to say that. It had nothing to do with the way he sits. It’s his personality that seems on the surface to be “aw shucks” so open and natural, but I think he’s actually more calculating and this is part of a persona. But that is a totally different subject than how he was sitting on Chelsea.

  90. Actually, I was responding to two different comments made by others. One commented on how he sat with his legs so far apart, so I said that I, too, noticed it and wasn’t crazy about it. I don’t think most guys sit with their legs that far apart, it was noticable and I don’t usually notice how most guys sit.

Actually, most guys do sit like that. And secondly I agree, I don’t notice how guys sit either, which is why I didn’t notice Adam. I can’t believe people were looking at his legs. lol wow

  91. Here’s an experiment. Go to Google images and type in “man” and “sitting.” …. Then count how many pictures come up of guys sitting just like that. There seem to be only a couple of ways that guys normally sit, and that’s clearly one of them.

  92. I was disturbed by a couple of things in this interview. First, was the reference to the red hair and the second was how heavy he used to be. In a way, I was reminded of another singer with a great voice who was obsessed with weight. Karen Carpenter only saw a chubby girl when she looked in the mirror and died of anorexia.

Adam has done everything he can to obliterate the image of “Opie” by covering up his red hair and freckles with black dye and makeup. But does he still see the chubby redhead when he looks in the mirror? How much weight does he have to lose before he’s happy with his image?

Some of the cruelest comments during the AI Live Tour had to do with being fat, when he obviously was not overweight. Perhaps all he needs is to tone up. I’d much rather see him lift some weights and get in shape rather than this diet that is making him so thin. This diet thing scares me.

On a lighter note–I think Adam is made for the screen, whether the movies or television. Not only do I enjoy his singing, but I love to hear him talk and laugh. He has said he wasn’t a very good actor, but I think he has great comedic timing and would do well. And I guess I’ll also go on record to say I’m all for his sitting in a low chair…

  93. My husband was 6′ ²4′ ³ and never sat with his legs that far apart as a norm. I see tall guys sitting all the time and legs are comfortably apart, not stretched as far as possible

My husband is 6’4″ also. (I’m not kidding) This is exactly how he sits. He played b-ball in college with lots of other tall guys and they sat the same way. Maybe it doesn’t look as open if you are short with stubby legs instead of tall with long, lean legs.

My hubby and I are not too far out of college, so I’ve seen hundreds of guys over the past 4 years sitting in classrooms and lecture halls. Young guys sit like Adam does. It’s not over-sexual, it’s normal.

Like I said before, poor guy can’t even sit right.

  94. I hope Adam doesn’t get too obsessed with dieting and being overly thin either. It is as hard for men in the spotlight as it is for women nowadays. The TV and photos add pounds, so people will say someone is overweight, when the person actually might be normal or even somewhat skinny.
